Hand Sewing and Mending Workshop
Explore practical hand stitching and clothing mending in a relaxed, hands-on workshop presented with Explore the New Manufacturing and Edgington Studio. The session is free, open to all, and there is no need to bring materials. It takes place on the second floor of the Wheeling Artisan Center. Also on view there is the SCRAP Flag Sewing Competition exhibit, showcasing flags crafted from reclaimed materials by makers from across West Virginia, from middle and high school students to adults, reflecting Wheeling’s longstanding spirit of resourcefulness and craft.
Wheeling Artisan CenterBeginner Yoga
At Shadyside Public Library, instructor Ashley Wear leads a gentle yoga session centered on foundational postures, breathwork, and meditation. Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing and bring water plus a mat or blanket. Chairs and extra mats will be available. Registration is not required. Shadyside Public LibraryTuesday Yoga at the Homestead
Continuing the spirit of Waterfront Yoga in a cozier setting, this community class meets at Appalachian Homestead for heart centered movement, breath, and connection. Instructors Kylie Ignace and Lindsay Schooler guide an accessible, all levels practice on Tuesday evenings, alternating weeks. It is drop in and offered on a pay what you can basis, open to all. The session takes place upstairs. A limited number of mats are available to borrow, and you are welcome to bring a mat, water, a blanket, or any props you prefer. The store is available for filling empty containers.
