Partner Yoga

At Wyoming Yoga & Wellness, this partner yoga class welcomes pairs such as a mom, sister, partner, or friend. Beth Jozwik leads a playful session that blends shared breathing, strength work, stretching, and a variety of assisted poses explored together. The practice highlights communication and mutual support, and it builds progressively to prepare for the shapes, so expect a bit of effort and a light sweat. Many modifications are available for all experience levels, and there are ways to try aspects of the practice on your own if a partnered option does not feel comfortable. The Wyoming Foundation for Cancer Care hosts its hallmark spring fundraiser at The Barn by The Five Deuces, pairing a western glam vibe with a focus on community and connection. WSRA Spring Meeting

Small Unit Tactics

Learn team-based combat fundamentals at Stuckenhoff's Shooters Complex in a focused Small Unit Tactics course. Training covers how to shoot, move, and communicate as a coordinated team while operating under pressure, with practice in working together to outmaneuver and neutralize larger threats. The instruction prioritizes more than solo performance, building skills that stay with you so you can lead, train, and operate alongside others in the future. There is a discount for pairs. As the concert ends, the celebration continues at The Afterglow, the Pursuit of Happiness post-concert reception at CitiWerks. Earth Day Circle Park Cleanup

Join the Unitarian Universalist Community of Casper’s Justice & Equity Group to help clean Amoco Park, from the labyrinth to the Pump House. Meet at the labyrinth (Bart Rea Learning Circle). Experience the Full Primary Series of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga, created by K. Pattabhi Jois and rooted in the eight-limbed tradition. This carefully structured practice guides the body through every plane of movement in a set sequence to build strength and flexibility, support purification, and settle the mind. The class follows the same order each time, which helps practitioners move at a personal pace and notice subtle shifts with consistent practice. Sanskrit names and counting are used alongside English cues. Modifications and props are available and encouraged, and the flow is continuous and challenging, with space to rest whenever needed. Golden Bough

Golden Bough marks 45 years with ARTCORE in a return to Wyoming at Restoration Church. Formed by Margie Butler and Paul Espinoza, and joined in 2001 by violinist Kathy Sierra, the Celtic trio reflects on international touring spanning four and a half decades and more than 30 releases in formats from LPs to live streams, including an expansive best-of music and video collection on a 25-hour USB that resembles a 1980s cassette. The anniversary program highlights beloved Celtic selections and original pieces that audiences have embraced over the years. On stage, the group blends instrumental folk, song, and storytelling that reach from the Celtic regions of Europe to melodies carried to North America by Irish and Scottish immigrants, along with their own compositions. Golden Bough, an acclaimed Celtic trio, celebrates 45 years with a concert built around fan favorites, the spirit of folk music performed live, and lyrical ballads shaped by over four decades of touring around the world. Three voices blend in harmony while instruments such as Celtic harp, guitar, violin, octave mandolin, accordion, penny whistle, and bodhran color every tune. Beyond the concert, the group also presents a Music Education program for school age children. Their catalog includes more than 35 recordings, available at shows, on YouTube, and as downloads on Bandcamp.

Book and Curriculum Sale

Browse and sell curriculum and books at a dedicated sale hosted at Boyd Avenue Baptist Church in the Boyd IMPAC Building, located directly behind Verizon Wireless. Sellers who cannot be present for setup can arrange a pickup or drop off of items in advance through a private message. To keep things running smoothly, sort items by grade level before arriving so they can be placed on the appropriate tables, and expect sections to shift as space and inventory change. There will be a designated area for free items, so consider donating pieces you would like to pass along to another mom or family. Pricing is up to each seller, and every item must include a phone number so shoppers can reach out to negotiate if needed. Clear labels are essential. Each item should list the seller’s name, phone number, and price. Index cards secured to the front with painter’s tape work well, while a loose card tucked inside a book may fall out. For sets, keep them together with rubber bands and note on the card that they are sold as a set, for example indicating a three book bundle.

Spring Shred Day

Casper Spring Shred Day offers secure, on-site document destruction for members and the community. Participants may bring up to two banker boxes of unwanted personal documents, such as old account statements, cancelled checks, ATM receipts, and outdated credit reports, to be shredded at the branch by a truck parked in the lot. The service is free, and donations to Food Bank of Wyoming are appreciated through a partnership that helps provide food and necessities to people in need. To keep the process quick and safe, visitors should remain in their vehicles and drive up to the truck, where personnel will assist with disposing of documents. In case of inclement weather, participants can park and bring boxes inside the branch. Acceptable materials include white or colored paper along with staples and paper clips, while newspapers, magazines, glossy paper, black binder clips, and spiral-bound items are not accepted. WyHy provides free shredding services to the public as part of ongoing community support efforts.

His work centers on strength, determination, and courage, building a loyal following that connects with both the music and the journey behind it. Since his release in 2016, he has toured to sold out crowds nationwide and released multiple projects, establishing himself as a modern outlaw leading a growing blend of hip hop and rock and roll. The Wonderful World of Colored Pencils

Explore colored pencil techniques during a two-day, in-person workshop led by teaching artist Lynn Jones. Lynn Jones is a lifelong artist who was encouraged early by a high school art teacher. While studying art in college, she sold her first oil painting to the college dean, then went on to study international business and complete an MBA. She taught business for more than 15 years and currently teaches art classes in colored pencil, watercolor, and pastel, along with private lessons and commissions. She has lived in Wyoming for over three decades and has shared her work through sales, classes, and exhibitions in all 50 states.

A Tapestry of Yoga - 300hr YTT Graduation Immersion

Swing for Stroke Pickleball Tournament

Serve up a day of play for a purpose at a pickleball tournament focused on stroke awareness at Casper Pickleball & Sports Complex. Created in recognition of Stroke Awareness Month, it blends friendly competition with movement, learning, and community spirit. 4th Annual Heroes 5K Run

The 4th Annual Heroes 5K Run at Platte River Trails supports student veterans. Veterans may participate at no cost this year. Dependents of veterans can register for $20, and students can register for $20. Registration includes a T-shirt.

Silent Book Club

Silent Book Club offers a calm, no-pressure way to enjoy reading with others. There is no set book or required pages to finish in advance. Participants spend about an hour reading quietly, then chat about whatever they have been reading. Attendees can bring any reading material or format that suits them, from audiobooks and ebooks to magazines, homework, or even a dictionary. The atmosphere is relaxed for book lovers and also helpful for anyone looking to carve out dedicated reading time while getting out of the house.

Spring Into Safety

This free, family focused event at Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Wyoming centers on safety education through engaging, kid friendly activities. Complimentary items include bike helmets and life jackets, with additional surprises, and raffle prizes will be available. It offers interactive learning in a welcoming environment and encourages connections across the community. Open to all children and their families at no cost. Presented with support from The Boys and Girls Club and Jonah Bank.

Track Clean-Up Day!

A community clean-up at Mike Sedar Bmx Track aims to give the course some much needed care so it is ready for racing and looking its best. Volunteers of all ages are welcome. Bring rakes, shovels, and gloves. Whether you can pitch in for a short time or stay for the full effort, every contribution helps and the more helpers there are, the easier the job.

Open Eyes, Open Heart: Nature Observation for Writers

As part of the Library’s Community Read and the NEA Big Read theme Our Nature, Open Eyes, Open Heart: Nature Observation for Writers invites adults to use attentive looking as a way to strengthen creative work inspired by Hope Jahren’s Lab Girl. The workshop encourages slowing down, noticing subtle details, and translating what is seen and sensed into essays, poems, or short stories. Think of glimmering light on moving water, the earthy scent of sage after rain, or persistent winds sweeping wide Wyoming spaces. A brief outdoor segment is planned if conditions allow, so comfortable shoes and weather-appropriate clothing are recommended. Participants should bring a notebook to capture observations and develop new writing. India Hayford leads the session. She is a Wyoming-based naturalist, writer, and educator with deep experience studying the region’s landscapes and wildlife. Her background includes work as a wildlife museum naturalist and range conservationist, and her writing has appeared in publications such as Wyoming Wildlife. Her short story collection earned the Neltje Blanchan Memorial Writing Award for work inspired by nature. Her first novel, The Song of the Blue Bottle Tree, was recognized as an Arkansas Gem by the Arkansas Center for the Book, an affiliate of the Library of Congress, and a second novel, Days of Sun and Shadow, is forthcoming. SuperBrawl 2026

The 2nd annual golf tournament at Casper Country Club features a 2-person shamble format with flighted competition and a lively Slugfest finale. Teams will vie for daily payouts, trophies, and bragging rights, and the champions will choose a Casper-based charity to receive a donation on their behalf. An optional practice round with a money game and dinner is planned before the main rounds, and the event culminates with the high-energy Slugfest. Registration will roll out in phases, first to last year’s participants, then to Casper Country Club members, followed by members of Paradise Valley and Powder Horn. His playing is featured on ten Pipedreams episodes, with selections from Bach through Margaret Sandresky. A committed advocate for new organ music, he has commissioned and premiered works by Emma Lou Diemer, Margaret Sandresky, Pamela Ruiter-Feenstra, Carson Cooman, Craig Phillips, Kurt Knecht, and others, encompassing chant and chorale inspirations, programmatic writing, and chamber pieces. He holds organ performance degrees from the University of Washington, Yale University, and the University of South Dakota, and studied with Carole Terry, Martin Jean, and Larry Schou. The event supports Ms. Veteran America, a competition that recognizes women beyond their uniforms, and benefits Final Salute Inc., an organization dedicated to providing safe and suitable housing for homeless women veterans and their children. It also shines a light on the challenges of moving from military life to civilian life. The experience symbolizes a shift from combat boots to running shoes, from active duty to advocacy, and from service in uniform to service within the community. Participants can run, jog, or walk, and every step helps raise awareness of women veterans, bolster housing and stabilization efforts, empower those who wore the uniform, and strengthen the local veteran community.

30th Annual Tate Field Conference

Marking three decades, the Tate Field Conference spotlights “Twilight of the Dinosaurs: Terrestrial Life in the Cretaceous,” bringing together a full day of talks and two days in the field. The talks day features consecutive presentations with lunch and dinner, culminating in a keynote by Kirk Johnson, director of the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History. His address, “The Forests, Meadows, and Ponds of the Late Cretaceous,” takes place at the Ramkota Hotel. His research centers on fossil plants and the extinction of dinosaurs, and his public science work includes PBS programs such as Making North America, The Great Yellowstone Thaw, Polar Extremes, Ice Age Footprints, and Walrus: Life on Thin Ice. One field excursion visits the type area of the Lance Formation in eastern Wyoming, a latest Cretaceous unit known for dinosaur remains and other fossils from the end of that era. Stops include long-studied sites such as the Lee Rex locality and several bone beds, with time for prospecting. This outing emphasizes demonstration over collecting. Personal or institutional collecting is typically allowed on these trips, but the Tate Museum and the landowner retain first rights of refusal for any fairly complete or unusual finds made here. Another excursion explores two localities in the Mesa Verde Formation, which preserves Campanian-age life. These sites have yielded a wide range of material, from tiny mammal teeth to portions of large dinosaurs. Both stops are on BLM lands, and collecting takes place under BLM permission with appropriate surface collecting permits. All recovered specimens from this trip will be curated at the Tate Museum or the University of Wyoming Geology Museum. Field outings involve walking over natural terrain and are not wheelchair friendly.

The Inner Journey Bookclub

The Bloomery Presents: Shawn Hess & The 500lb Family Band

Laramie-based artist Shawn Hess performs with the 500lb Family Band at The Bloomery, bringing a blend of polished songwriting and classic country western style. His set shares Wyoming stories that can be aching, gentle, or darkly witty, always delivered with a deeply personal touch. Joined by a full group of accomplished players who are strong songwriters in their own right, the performance highlights the heartfelt authenticity and musical craft he is known for in Wyoming. KEY Camp 2026, Week 2

Students entering grades 6 through 8 can apply for a camp at Casper College that offers a taste of campus life with hands-on activities, opportunities to expand knowledge, and career exploration. A teacher recommendation is required. Applications are available online. This is the second week of the program.

The College National Finals Rodeo brings elite college riders and ropers to Ford Wyoming Center in Casper for a fast-paced evening of championship competition. Spectators can take in bull riding, barrel racing, tie-down roping, and steer wrestling as athletes demonstrate precision, timing, and grit under pressure. 22nd Annual Vista Toyota Golf Country Classic

The 22nd Annual Vista Toyota Golf Country Classic at Casper Country Club brings golfers together to support the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Wyoming. Enjoy a full day on the course with friendly competition and community spirit while helping fund scholarships, mentorship, and programs that serve more than 3,600 young people in the community. Play begins with a shotgun start. Four-person teams are $1,000, and sponsorship opportunities are available.

Patriotic Father's Day Rodeo food and fun

This free-entry event at Eastridge Mall features food trucks, more than 100 vendors, and family fun throughout the mall. 19th Annual George Reich Memorial Steer & Heifer Show

At Casper College Agriculture, the 19th Annual George Reich Memorial Steer & Heifer Show is hosted by the Casper FFA Alumni & Supporters and Hamburger Stand. The show is open to all junior livestock exhibitors. Fitting rules state that no additional hair building materials such as twine are allowed, and only glue may be used. Exhibitors can pre-enter for $40 per head for the steer and heifer show, or enter the day of for $50 per head. Online entry is available. The schedule features hip height checks, followed by the George Reich Heifer Show, then the Natrona County Bred & Fed Beef Show, and finally the George Reich Beef Show. Awards for the heifer show include $1,000 for Grand Champion Heifer and $500 for Reserve Champion Heifer. In the market beef show, awards include $1,000 for Grand Champion Steer, $500 for Reserve Champion Steer, $300 for third place, and $200 for fourth place. Heifer show sponsors include Noland Feed, First State Bank, Brooks Shepard & Family, Tom & Kade Walters, and Z&W Mill with Mary Viktorin. Participants will meet at the Bear Trap Meadow parking area on Casper Mountain, then carpool to Muddy Mountain for a North Face hike with the IWLA Clubhouse Hiking Club. The route is an approximately 4 mile loop. High clearance vehicles are required to reach the starting point, so transportation should be planned accordingly.

The Bloomery Presents: North Fork Crossing

North Fork Crossing delivers a new-age bluegrass experience that bridges traditional fiddle tunes and ballads with jamgrass-style improvisation and energetic peaks. Sets range from modern covers to old-time country, exploring a wide terrain that can get audiences dancing and curious about what might come next. Formed in 2021 after a renewed friendship at Montana Fiddle Camp, the Bozeman-based five piece features Cade Slayden on guitar, Ryan Kelly on mandolin, Rabi Phelan on upright bass, Silas Rea on fiddle, and Matt Hickey on banjo. The group has quickly built a presence across the West, especially in the Gallatin Valley, and champions an evolving approach to string band music aimed at reaching a new generation. Their self-titled debut album, released in 2024, gathers material they have performed since the beginning, from original fiddle tunes and high-paced exploratory bluegrass to ballads shaped by strong songwriting and precision, offering a focused introduction to their studio work. The Bloomery provides an intimate setting surrounded by nature just west of Casper, Wyoming, with local food and craft beer available. Guests should bring a chair and clothing suited to Wyoming weather. Small coolers are welcome. All ticket sales are non-refundable.

USTA Wyoming ITA Mixed Doubles Tennis League

New teams are currently being organized for the USTA Wyoming ITA Mixed Doubles Tennis League in Casper. Open to adults 18 and older as of the league start, this local season offers combined rating divisions of 5.5, 6.5, 7.5, and 8.5. Teams compete across three doubles lines in each match. The fee is $45 per participant, and team captains participate at no cost. An initial entry and minimum roster deadline applies.
