RAM is offering a free clinic at the Carlson Center with dental, vision, and general medical services provided on a first come, first served basis. All services are open to the public at no cost, and no ID or insurance is required. When you arrive, staff and volunteers will share next steps and explain clinic procedures. Capacity is often reached early, especially for dental and vision, so arriving as early as possible gives the best chance to be seen. Once capacity is reached, no additional patients can be admitted and closing and pack up will begin. If you plan to come early, bring your own food, water, needed medications, and weather appropriate clothing. Restrooms will be available at the parking site, and the patient lot remains open throughout the clinic. Due to time limitations, you may be asked to choose between dental and vision services, while general medical services are available to all who attend. In case of bad weather, volunteer cancellations, or other unexpected circumstances, parking and patient capacity may change and the number of people served may be limited, so those seeking dental care are strongly encouraged to arrive early. The Science for Alaska Summer Series offers free public talks presented by Explore Fairbanks and the UAF Geophysical Institute. Sessions are held in the Morris Thompson Center auditorium and feature working scientists discussing Alaska-focused research. NAMI Connection is a free, peer-led support group for adults living with mental health conditions. It provides a welcoming place to meet others who understand, share experiences at your own pace, and find encouragement and support.
