At Savikko Park, Shelter #1 in Douglas, a community picnic brings people together to support those who have lost someone to suicide and those experiencing suicidality. Presented by the Juneau Suicide Prevention Coalition and partners, the gathering includes a remembrance ceremony honoring those who have died by suicide, food, and tables hosted by the organizers. Purple and teal balloons will mark the spot.

Celebrate the debut EP Break & Mend with an intimate concert by The Heists at The Crystal Saloon in Juneau. Longtime fixtures of the local music scene, the duo blends bluegrass energy, country feeling, and an old-time groove into original Alaskan folk songs.
