Grant Run Club plans to take part in the 17th Annual Pink Pumpkin Run at Guntersville Civitan Park. Participants can choose between a 5K run or walk and a 1 mile fun run. The event supports mammography and cancer care services in the local community. Packet pickup will be offered at the Guntersville Rec Center Multi-Purpose Room and at Guntersville Civitan Park. The club will be participating as a team.

At Peeks Pinball Palace in Arab, this knockout competition uses random group assignments and one-game group match play. In each group the bottom two scores take a strike, and in a three player group only one strike is assessed. Players are eliminated upon reaching four strikes, and the strike count may be adjusted to fit time constraints. The final four advance to a three game group playoff using PAPA style scoring of 7, 5, 3, 1 to set the finishing order. The entry fee is $20, with $1 to IFPA, $4 to the operator, and $15 to the prize pool. Prize payouts go to the top four at 50%, 25%, 15%, and 10%.

The event features a skateboard jam with a best trick showdown, with the obstacle to be announced, as well as a best line challenge and a best Halloween costume contest recognizing the top three. Hooping With A Twist Of Line, Boots On Th' Floor, and Denim & Lace present a dance party at VFW Post 2760 to celebrate turning the clocks back. Admission is $5. To keep the space safe and enjoyable, please keep the floor clear when not dancing and avoid placing chairs on the dance area. During couples or partner dances, line dancers use the center of the floor and stay mindful of couples when entering and while dancing. Leaders are encouraged to stay attentive and look out for their partners. Children are welcome, and chairs will be set at the back right side of the dance floor to create a spot where adults and kids can dance together away from the busier front area. For everyone’s safety, running through the dancers is not permitted.

Finding Your Stride is a one-day retreat at Stable Choice in Snead, Alabama that centers on reconnection, confidence, clarity, and purpose. Through guided equine-assisted learning experiences with no riding, thoughtful reflection, and authentic connection, participants explore what may be keeping them from moving ahead with confidence, deepen self-awareness and authentic leadership, strengthen trust in their choices, and practice moving through challenges with intention and resilience. The program draws on the calm, purposeful presence of horses. By spending time with them, you can notice personal patterns, uncover strengths, identify areas for growth, and learn what it feels like to move through life with greater authenticity. The day weaves together a welcome with coffee and breakfast sweets, mindfulness and meditation with horses led by Leslie from HAWK Equine Assisted Learning, horse-assisted self-discovery sessions guided by Jessica from Stable Choice, a provided lunch that includes an entrée and a drink, a walk and talk focused on self-awareness with light snacks, and a closing reflection. Participation is limited to 8 women. The fee is $200 for the day and includes lunch. An optional horseback riding experience in Guntersville is available separately, and participants cover their own costs. This retreat offers a pause to reflect and reconnect with the person you are becoming. The aim is not to keep pace with everyone else, it is to find your own stride.
