Pike Road · Pike Road Art Center, 2890 Wallahatchie Rd

A new Pike Road Arts Council exhibition celebrates the spirit of American freedom, bringing together local and regional creators who explore democratic ideals across two and a half centuries. An opening reception welcomes visitors to meet participating artists and experience the collection in person. The Water House Gallery and the Arts Center are open on weekends throughout the run of the show. The exhibition includes an open call for artists. Original work in any medium is welcome, whether representational or abstract, with up to six entries per artist and no entry fee. All pieces must arrive ready to hang with gallery wrap or framing and a wire, and artists should properly protect fragile or unfixed materials. Care will be taken with all submissions, and the Arts Council may decline works that are not suitable for display. Artists set their own prices. The Town of Pike Road retains a 15 percent commission on each sale, and payments are mailed after the exhibition closes to artists who have a W-9 on file. Each entry should include the artist’s name, title of the work, medium, price or NFS, email, phone number, and a brief biography, which may include a link to view artwork online.
