An inaugural youth saltwater fishing tournament presented by the Gulf of America Junior Angler Saltwater Championship Series highlights the next generation of Gulf Coast anglers. Two-person teams compete across Alabama’s inshore waters for redfish and speckled trout using a five-fish aggregate format with a live weigh-in. Cash payouts are offered for first through third in each division. Divisions include a High School group for grades 9 through 12 and a Junior Angler group for grades 7 and 8. The entry fee is $150 per team. The event emphasizes conservation, spirited competition, and youth angling development.
