These sensory-friendly hours transform the museum into a calmer setting for visitors who benefit from a softer environment. Lighting is lowered and sound is reduced throughout the galleries, and a dedicated quiet space is available in the Governor Winthrop Rockefeller Lecture Hall for anyone who needs a peaceful break to rest and recharge. Staff at the Guest Services desks can offer weighted blankets and sensory kits for both children and adults. Preteens and teens in grades 6 through 12 can build Ballroom and Latin dance skills in a structured fall session aligned with the school year. Instruction is led by professional dancer Adam Richardson, assisted by Robin Telles Richardson of Richardson Ballroom. Two 45-minute classes take place on Mondays and on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month. No partner is required. A limited number of new student spots are available. Participants can develop social skills, confidence, coordination, poise, and overall physical health while meeting new friends in a welcoming studio environment. Families may arrange a studio visit in advance to see the space and talk with the team. Homeschool participants are supported, as this program is an EFA approved vendor.

Fans of the Pokemon Trading Card Game can gather to play and trade in a casual setting. Each session features a small local tournament where players bring a legal Standard Pokemon TCG deck and compete in best-of-one rounds. Entry for the tournament is $6, and store credit is awarded to the top four players. Promo packs are provided to everyone, whether or not they enter the tournament.
