An annual 10k obstacle course on the A-State campus features more than 16 obstacles and is organized by Howls Heroes, an A-State student organization. A singer and songwriter who has spent the past couple of years playing festivals, listening rooms, and private parties around Arkansas, she appears solo on guitar and keyboard. Her sound blends country, pop, punk, alternative, and classic rock influences, unified by a strong vocal presence.

In Jonesboro, Arkansas, the half marathon, 10K, and 5K will once again start and finish at NEA Baptist Hospital, with some adjustments planned and updates to be shared on the Heart and Sole Half Marathon 5K 10K Facebook page. All distances take place on certified courses that blend rolling hills with flatter stretches, with clear markings, volunteer support, and police at high-traffic intersections, including a police lead for the half marathon. Half marathon and 10K entrants register as runners. The half marathon has a 3.5 hour limit, equal to a 16 minute per mile pace, and participants who do not maintain that pace may be asked to leave the course. The 5K includes separate running and walking categories, and anyone registered as a walker must walk the entire way, while those who plan to jog or run should register as runners to keep the competition fair.

Drag Drive Repeat brings Short Circuit 2026, presented by Deatschwerks, to the storied George Ray’s Wildcat Dragstrip for an eighth mile showcase of racing and road action. The format blends on-track competition with a roughly 100 mile drive, then a return to the strip for more racing. A field of 100 cars is planned, and George Ray’s will also run an Outlaw Small Tire race. Six classes will compete over the eighth mile, including You VS You, Tailgate, 6.50 Index, Stick Shift, Power Adder, and All Motor. An invite-only, 32 car heads-up drag-and-drive feature inspired by Back to the Streets rounds out the card. Racer entry is limited.

Lit'l Bita Christmas at First National Bank Arena features RazorSharpWood, showcasing handcrafted wooden creations by Michael and Joyce Sharp, artisans from the Ozarks and members of the Arkansas Craft Guild.
