Bring lights and the tools and supplies needed to fix a flat, and do not use earbuds while riding. Carry enough water for the conditions. Plans may change due to weather. The ride will be canceled if temperatures exceed 105 degrees, or if there are strong winds or lightning, so please confirm the status before heading out.

Monthly pinball tournament

Players of all skill levels are welcome at this IFPA sanctioned pinball competition. The tournament uses a Pace Match Play format with a minimum of six rounds. Scoring starts with a 24 point target, then the threshold increases by 7 each subsequent round and play continues until there are eight or fewer competitors. The top eight qualifiers move on to an Amazing Race finals, and participants eliminated during the final qualifying round may still take part in the finals. Battle of the Centuries

Battle of the Centuries brings the past to life at the Peoria Community Center with an Arts and Sciences group competition presented by the Barony of Sundragon. Expect fully realized pre‑17th‑century ensembles and the craftwork that supports them, from what a 9th century royal might have worn to the contents of a Roman legionary’s pack, along with the tools used by historical trades. Entries may come from any era before the 17th century and can be created by individuals or groups. Each entry must be shown on a model or an equivalent display, and mannequins are acceptable. Basic documentation is required, and pre‑prepared food may be included as part of an entry. A runway presentation with spoken commentary will highlight the fashions and professions of bygone centuries, and a photo area will be available. The site is dry. Display tables are offered for those who wish to exhibit without competing. Recognition will be given for an overall winner, populace choice, best dressed, and best in category. The site fee is $10 for members and $20 for non‑members, with $1 withheld on any pre‑registration reimbursements. The 11th Annual Peoria Spooktacular Halloween Party brings a free outdoor movie and a full evening of family-friendly fun to Paseo Verde Park as part of Peoria 1st Saturdays. Entry and parking are free, pets are welcome, and the event is open to the public. Attendees can bring blankets and chairs to enjoy a Halloween film, with the title to be announced. 2026 Phoenix Wicked Half Marathon, 10K, 5K & Spooky Sprint

Celebrate the 11th annual Wicked Half Marathon, 10K, 5K, and Spooky Sprint at Rio Vista Park in Peoria. This family friendly race day encourages costumes and is limited to 700 participants. The courses follow the New River Trail System on asphalt and concrete paths, beginning and ending at the park, which makes getting back to your car easy. The trail is open to other users during the event. The Spooky Sprint is an untimed half mile for kids. Registered children receive a trick or treat bag at check in and can collect treats from volunteers along the route, and each participant earns a custom finisher medal and an event dri fit T shirt. Runners in the half marathon, 10K, and 5K receive a custom finisher medal and a technical dri fit event shirt. Male and female age group awards honor the top three race day finishers in every bracket, starting with 8 and under, 9 to 10, 11 to 13, 14 to 17, 18 to 24, and continuing in five year increments through 80 and over. Light refreshments such as granola bars, fruit, water, and sports drinks will be available before and after the races. The newly expanded marketplace brings together more than 100 sellers offering handcrafted goods, crystals, candles, esoteric art, curiosities, ritual supplies, tarot decks, and other unusual treasures. It is a place to find items for Samhain observances, tools to support personal practice, and witchy art for the home while connecting with the community and meeting the makers. On-site services include tarot and astrology readings, aura photography, and henna. Sweets and sips are part of the experience too, with fresh baked treats, small batch jams and teas, artisan chocolates and caramels, food trucks, and a coffee truck. A quiet room near the front of the venue offers a break from the bustle, and seating is available in the main entrance area and along the hallways beside the ballroom. Set in downtown Glendale near Historic Catlin Court, this gathering welcomes attendees with a $5 entry fee, paid in cash at the door. Pets are not permitted. Free parking is available at the venue and at a nearby public parking garage.
