Water is available roughly 10 miles in, followed by about 6 more miles to the peak, where there will be a solid rest before descending 6 miles to the tram and taking the tram down. The tram drop-off is still about 6 miles from the trailhead, so expect a drive back to the start. Advance preparation is encouraged. Build cardio ahead of time and be ready for heat, since plans may change on the day if conditions are extreme. Carry ample water for the first 10 miles, generally 3 to 5 liters, plus electrolytes such as powders, chews, or tablets. Pack enough food for roughly one and a half to two meals, noting that food is available at the tram station during the descent. Some hikers also bring L-citrulline or L-arginine, often found in pre-workout drinks, for high elevation, along with peanuts. Trekking poles are optional. Wear shoes with strong traction and bring a headlamp for the early hours. Conditions near the summit can be cold and windy, so a windbreaker and a beanie may be needed.

In 2022 she received Tony and Grammy nominations as well as Outer Critics Circle and Drama League recognition for Mr. Saturday Night opposite Billy Crystal. Her Broadway credits include Elphaba in Wicked and Jenna in Waitress, with an earlier debut in Hairspray, and Off-Broadway performances in Godspell and Songs for a New World. As a recording artist, her six independent albums and EPs have reached the top of iTunes and Billboard, including a number one on the Billboard Jazz chart, and she has performed to sold-out audiences worldwide. Challenge yourself on a 6K touted as the world’s toughest, climbing nearly 2,000 feet from the desert to mountain heights at the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway. Runners and walkers take in sweeping views of Palm Springs along the way. The course finishes at Valley Station, where finishers receive a medal, enjoy post event food and drink, and get a ride back down.
