This installment of the New 1st Friday Concert series features Damage Inc honoring Metallica’s Cliff Burton era, with a special guest also performing. The series highlights tributes and local favorites. Admission is free, and the event is presented by Regency Talent Group and Headyworks Brewing Co.

Tri-Valley Theatre Company brings The SpongeBob Musical to The Bankhead, a buoyant stage adventure filled with beloved characters, comedy, and high-energy numbers for all ages. When a threat looms over Bikini Bottom, SpongeBob and his friends rally to protect their home, turning a crisis into a heartfelt celebration of teamwork, courage, and community. The score spans styles with contributions from a wide range of celebrated musicians, paired with a book by Kyle Jarrow and inspired by the series created by Stephen Hillenburg. Additional credits include additional lyrics by Jonathan Coulton, additional music by Tom Kitt, and a production conceived by Tina Landau. An ASL interpreted performance will feature interpreters positioned on the right side of the theater.

Enjoy a Dive-In Movie Night at the Robert Livermore Aquatic Center featuring Surf’s Up (2007). The evening starts with time to swim, then the movie plays so attendees can float and watch under the night sky. Admission is $10 for residents and $30 for non-residents. Pre-registration is required and space is limited.

Designed for students heading into Integrated Math 1 or Integrated Math 2, this summer cohort focuses on strengthening first‑quarter fundamentals before the school year moves fast. GrowWise IM1 & IM2 Get Ready builds stronger math habits through targeted work with expressions and equations, proportional reasoning, and early function and graphing readiness. Participants also revisit key geometry concepts, develop foundations for proof and similarity, and address common mistake patterns to start the year well prepared. This offering is especially suited for DUSD and PUSD students preparing for IM1 or IM2.

Enjoy a summer movie series where admission is complimentary when each person makes a concession purchase. Arrive early to secure a good seat, and take a moment to see the cotton candy robot in the lobby. Reservations are required only for groups of eight or more.

Emerald Green Park hosts a family-friendly session of free, interactive math games. The schedule is flexible with a drop-in format, so participants can arrive and take part at any time. This edition is intentionally smaller than the usual math festivals, creating a low-key atmosphere. Look for the group at Picnic Area E.

Join in for Music & Movement at Civic Center Library, a fun session featuring songs and movement activities designed to support motor and social skills, independence, and language development in kids. The program is geared toward ages 1-5, but it’s open to everyone. Bring a blanket for the outdoor class on the library lawn, and the class will move indoors if the weather is bad. An indoor “Stay and Play” time to play and socialize will follow at 10:45 AM. Registration isn’t required.

Slip on your boots for an all ages line dancing night at Stampede Livermore. Enjoy lessons, put in song requests, and take part in plenty of social dancing with CC Amato and crew leading the fun. Admission is free.

Free, hands-on math games for all ages take place at Don Biddle Park in a casual drop-in format. Attendees may stop by at any time during the event. This is a smaller gathering than typical math festivals. Look for the group at Picnic Area B.
