This installment of the New 1st Friday Concert series features Damage Inc honoring Metallica’s Cliff Burton era, with a special guest also performing. Tri-Valley Theatre Company brings The SpongeBob Musical to The Bankhead, a buoyant stage adventure filled with beloved characters, comedy, and high-energy numbers for all ages. When a threat looms over Bikini Bottom, SpongeBob and his friends rally to protect their home, turning a crisis into a heartfelt celebration of teamwork, courage, and community. The score spans styles with contributions from a wide range of celebrated musicians, paired with a book by Kyle Jarrow and inspired by the series created by Stephen Hillenburg. Additional credits include additional lyrics by Jonathan Coulton, additional music by Tom Kitt, and a production conceived by Tina Landau. An ASL interpreted performance will feature interpreters positioned on the right side of the theater.

Tuesday Tunes is set to begin with a lineup to kick things off.

Join in for Music & Movement at Civic Center Library, a fun session featuring songs and movement activities designed to support motor and social skills, independence, and language development in kids. The program is geared toward ages 1-5, but it’s open to everyone. Bring a blanket for the outdoor class on the library lawn, and the class will move indoors if the weather is bad. An indoor “Stay and Play” time to play and socialize will follow at 10:45 AM. Registration isn’t required.
