STEAM Summer | The Art of Creating in August
Bring the kids to STEAM Summer in the STEAM Lab for a hands-on, creative day focused on building and making. On August 1, families can jump into a Color Mixing experience as part of a rotating series of art and design activities offered Saturdays during the summer. There are also scavenger hunts running every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with a challenge to complete and a prize to earn. Timed wristbands are required for STEAM Lab access, and each wristband includes a 30-minute session.

Slasher Market brings horror-themed shopping and a glow dance party to The Hideout At Good Trouble. You can browse spooky vendors, horror collectibles, handmade art, apparel, and creepy decor, with a celebrity guest appearance from Douglas Tait and Kevin Foster. The vendor market runs in the afternoon, and there’s a Glow Dance Party starting at 7 PM. Doors open at 3:30 PM, with free general admission from 4 PM to 9 PM and paid VIP early access from 12 PM to 2 PM.

The class runs on Saturdays during August, with the focus on learning and improving piano skills over multiple sessions. Registration isn’t available through the online listing, and new students are asked to call the community center to register.

Future Stars I is a tennis class for kids in grades Pre-K and K-1 (ages 4-6) that introduces early hand-eye coordination and tracking and receiving skills. Players use the USTA 10 and Under format on a smaller 36' x 18' court with foam balls that bounce 75% less than a regular ball. The class runs on Saturdays, from early August through the end of August.
