    See details

Experience an evening of rhythm, glamour, joy, and heartfelt emotion with LEO FROM RIO: SONGS OF LATIN ICONS, a live concert created and performed by Leopold Nunan. This performance salutes the enduring power of Latin music and the legends who shaped generations across Brazil, Cuba, Mexico, Argentina, and beyond. Nunan reimagines beloved songs with sophistication and passion, moving from the cool sway of bossa nova linked to Antônio Carlos Jobim and Sérgio Mendes, to the resonant voices of Mercedes Sosa and Violeta Parra, the vibrant salsa of Celia Cruz, and the romantic flair of bolero associated with Luis Miguel. His interpretations are elegant, theatrical, and deeply rooted in Latin culture. Backed by a live band, the show weaves vocals, storytelling, and stagecraft with irresistible Latin rhythms. It becomes a celebration of music, identity, nostalgia, love, joy, and the freedom to express ourselves fully. The program honors the artists and legends who came before while embracing the color, warmth, and vitality of Latin American culture. It also highlights creators whose music crossed borders and generations, reflecting values shared by Latin and queer communities, including authenticity, resilience, passion, and self-expression. Expect Old Hollywood glamour, tropical sophistication, Latin American warmth, and unapologetic energy. Tickets are $25 for regular admission.

Team Horizon: Fundamentals of Big Way Skill Camp - HD

Skydive Elsinore, 20701 Cereal St, Lake Elsinore
    See details

Build a solid foundation for vertical big-way flying at this head down skills camp at Skydive Elsinore, led by Jesse Jaber and Chris Dare. These coaches bring decades of combined experience, including participation in head down and sequential world records. Chris has served as a sector captain on a vertical world record, and both were part of Team USA’s gold-winning lineup in Indoor Dynamic Vertical Sequential 8-Way at the World Championships. They also run the Barnstorm Sequential Event, where groups of experienced flyers tackle complex dive flows. Designed for intermediate to advanced vertical flyers, the camp focuses on the fundamentals that lead to larger formations and higher level events. Expect coaching on the spine and ribs technique, a deeper understanding of big-way architecture, and what it takes to be considered for record attempts. It is a fit for those new to big ways, those getting current, and anyone looking to sharpen technique. Participants should be able to maintain a controlled, static head down for the entire skydive, approach safely and take dependable docks, fly comfortably in groups of at least twelve, and execute a safe breakoff by turning 180 degrees from the center and tracking away. Flyers who do not yet meet these benchmarks can look to Vertical HD or HU skill camps focused on smaller groups, and separate one-on-one or one-on-two coaching is also available for beginners. This is a one day program at Skydive Elsinore. Plan for five jumps if weather cooperates. The event requires a minimum of seven participants plus a coach to proceed. Expect 60 minute calls to allow time to pack, review video, and brief the next jump. The day opens with a 30 minute seminar on big-way fundamentals and safety. You may rotate through base and other slots during the day. Registration is 100 dollars and does not include jump tickets. Ticket prices depend on exit altitude, with a goal of going higher than usual without oxygen if approved by the drop zone. Applicants who are accepted will receive payment instructions by email.

Team Horizon: Vertical Skill Camp - Head Down October 2026

Skydive Elsinore, 20701 Cereal St, Lake Elsinore
    See details

This one day, small group vertical skill camp at Skydive Elsinore focuses on head down flying for beginner and intermediate freeflyers who want to progress their vertical and dynamic skills. It is suited to those working on steep angles, moving through the vertical, and transitioning between head up and head down. Beginner groups concentrate on the fundamentals of vertical formation flying, including maintaining level, understanding slot and docking, exploring different head down exits, managing both slow and fast fall rates, making clean approaches with simple touch targets, and executing safe breakoffs. Intermediate groups refine diving and floating exits, practice 360 degree turns and carving, work on docking or breaking into formations, and fly VFS and sequential style dive plans. Minimum requirements include at least 150 skydives, the ability to hold a stable head down for the entire skydive, staying on level within roughly 15 feet of the base without unnecessary movement, flying safely in a group of four with a coach, and breaking off by turning 180 degrees from the center and tracking away. If these benchmarks are not yet met, private one on one coaching can be arranged separately to build solid habits. The format calls for a commitment to six jumps, weather permitting. Groups are limited to three participants plus a coach. The day starts with a 30 minute safety briefing before jumping begins, and loads are planned on approximately 40 minute cycles to allow time to pack, review video, and brief the next skydive. Registration is $225 and does not include jump tickets. Applicants who are accepted will receive payment instructions by email. Separate intro to big way and intro to sequential options are available for more advanced vertical flyers, each with its own requirements.

Skydive Elsinore hosts a vertical sequential skills camp focused on eight-way flying led by Jesse Jaber and Chris Dare. It is designed for intermediate to advanced vertical flyers seeking an introduction to sequential flying or looking to take part in more complex builds. Dive plans are created around the group’s abilities, with positions assigned in HU or HD, and there may be mixed orientation and dynamic elements. The coaching team brings extensive credentials in the discipline. Both have contributed to current HD and Sequential world records, with Chris serving as a sector captain on the Vertical World Record. Jesse captained Team USA to gold in Indoor Dynamic Vertical Sequential eight-way at the World Championships, and Chris also competed on that gold-winning team. Together they run the Barnstorm Sequential Event, working with experienced flyers on intricate dive flows. Participants must meet specific prerequisites. Flyers should be able to maintain a stable HD for the entire skydive, approach safely and take multiple docks reliably, and break off cleanly from the center of the formation. Those not yet at this level can look to dedicated HD or HU skills camps that same weekend, and separate one-on-one or one-on-two coaching can be arranged outside this camp. The format is a single day at Skydive Elsinore with a commitment to five jumps, weather permitting. Groups run with a minimum of five participants plus a coach for the camp to proceed. Expect 60-minute turnarounds to allow time to pack, review video, and brief the next jump. You may be asked to start in the base and will rotate through positions. Legends of Rock — The Who, Led Zeppelin, The Doors & Jimi Hendrix Tributes

Ramona Bowl Amphitheatre, 27400 Ramona Bowl Rd, Hemet
    See details

The 103rd season closes with a salute to the moment rock and roll became art, featuring a tribute concert honoring The Who, Led Zeppelin, The Doors, and Jimi Hendrix. Tribute performers, not the original recording artists, revive the spirit, invention, and audacity that reshaped popular music. The Who Generation channels the band’s seismic energy and sing-along power. Like Zeppelin unleashes blues thunder and mystic grandeur. Mojo Rising leans into The Doors’ moody poetry and keyboard-driven creativity. Power of Soul captures Jimi Hendrix’s revolutionary guitar voice and soulful finesse. Expect era-defining riffs, psychedelic flights, and crowd-rousing anthems that trace the DNA of so many favorites. The Ramona Bowl experience turns the occasion into more than a concert. Arrive early to relax in the courtyard, choose from food vendors, and visit the full bar as the mountains glow with color. When the wooden doors open, settle into a natural stone amphitheatre that has been creating memories since 1923, then enjoy music under crisp skies and bright stars. The event proceeds regardless of weather, and the canyon cools after sunset, so a light layer helps. Practical notes: paid parking is available in paved lots near the venue, accessible seating and parking are offered, personal cameras and phones are welcome while professional gear is not, and outside alcohol is prohibited. Please do not bring outside food or drinks in glass containers. Tickets are non-refundable but can be transferred.
