At Elkhorn Village Elementary School, a playful morning features hands-on stations and active fun for kids and grown-ups. Build an imaginative cardboard city, create giant bubbles, mix and squish slime, paint, and make colorful chalk art, with more activities to discover. Learn new hula hoop moves from a professional hula hooper, dance to music from a DJ, and take part in experiences that encourage everyone to move, create, and play together. Meet adoptable dogs at Petco in Sacramento, where rescue pups are ready to greet prospective families and find forever homes. Walk-ins are welcome. If you already have a favorite in mind, you can schedule an appointment through the rescue’s website to reserve that dog for an in-person meet.
