A free tour shares more than a century of local history at East Lawn Memorial Park. Learn about its beginnings in 1904 under Louis Breuner, son of John Breuner of Breuner’s Furniture. The park’s main building, topped by a tower rising five stories, dates to 1926 and reflects the Art Deco style. The tour introduces participants to notable people buried there, from Sacramento pioneers to developers, politicians, brewers, bankers, and others who influenced the region. Hair-eoke blends salon style with singalong fun at J.D. Elixirs Salon, presented by Drea’s Mobile Sweet Treats and the salon team. A donation-based community sound bath held every Sunday, featuring different sound healers from the community. Pay what you can, with a suggested donation of $11 to $44, accepted in cash or via Venmo at the door. Donations are optional and help pay the sound healers.

Explore Argentine tango with a friendly, supportive group at Tango On Broadway at Mission Oaks Community Center. First-time participants receive a complimentary class, made possible by a standing offer from the venue. Each evening includes instruction for beginners and a separate intermediate class, followed by time to practice. Those new to tango can try it out, and experienced dancers can use the beginner session to learn the opposite role.
