The 7th Annual Black Podcasting Awards arrives in Oakland, celebrating creators who consistently publish and build real audiences without major network or media support. After six seasons of recognition, this edition is the first to bring the celebration to the West Coast. Collier is devoted to weaving the depth of jazz tradition with the urgency of the present to shape the sound of tomorrow. Known for fearless creativity and improvisational command, he has collaborated with Kahil El’Zabar, Ambrose Akinmusire, Craig Taborn, Joe Dyson, Azar Lawrence, NEA Jazz Masters Billy Hart and Marshall Allen, Denardo Coleman, Nicole Mitchell, Randy Brecker, Billy Harper, Marquis Hill, and Makaya McCraven.
