Participants are guided through a gentle release ritual and an immersive sound journey featuring handpan, bowls, gong, chimes, and soft synth textures to soothe the mind and body. In partnership with the stadium, the Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition provides safe bicycle parking that eases traffic and reduces emissions, and volunteers receive a complimentary meal while working alongside a friendly, high-energy team. No experience is necessary. A supervisor provides a brief orientation on arrival. The earlier shift focuses on check-in, welcoming riders, issuing claim tickets, and placing bikes in the corral. The later shift focuses on check-out, matching tickets to bikes, returning them to attendees, and helping with simple wrap-up. Wear comfortable athletic clothing and closed-toe shoes since you will be moving bikes and lifting them onto racks. Dress for the weather, bring a reusable water bottle, and consider packing extra snacks. To avoid heavy stadium congestion, do not plan to drive or be dropped off at the gates. Suggested options include parking at River Oaks VTA Station and taking light rail to the entrance, traveling from River Oaks Station along the Guadalupe River Trail by bike or on foot, or parking at Eddie Souza Park and riding in via the San Tomas Aquino Creek Trail. Trail security requires a confirmation email for stadium access from the trail. Volunteer spots tend to fill quickly on game days.

    Essential Oil Perfume Making Class

Jiaren Cafe, 1171 Homestead Rd, Santa Clara · verified Oct 2
    See details

Learn to craft a signature scent in a hands-on workshop led by Twinkle, an instructor with a KDCA Perfume Master Certificate and a KCCA license. Drawing on a background in Molecular and Cell Biology from UC Berkeley and extensive laboratory experience creating essential oils, Twinkle blends scientific precision with creative technique to guide the process from concept to finished fragrance. The class begins with an overview of the history of perfume and its cultural significance, then covers the differences between fragrance oils and essential oils and how each is defined, used, and valued. Explore the main essential oil families, including floral, citrus, woody, and spicy, and dive into perfume concentrations such as Eau de Parfum and Eau de Toilette. Core ideas like top, middle, and base notes are introduced, along with how a fragrance unfolds over time. Building on that foundation, participants design a personal perfume by identifying preferred scent profiles, practicing blending basics, experimenting thoughtfully, and refining formulas with step-by-step guidance. All materials are included, and the format combines lecture with interactive discussion. Goals include gaining a thorough understanding of essential oil perfumery, developing practical skills to create personalized scents, and fostering creativity in the design process. Each attendee takes home a 30 mL perfume. Class duration is 2 hours. Price is $140.

Volunteers support the operation and can check in at Gate A or Gate C, depending on which side they arrive from. No prior experience is needed, since supervisors provide quick training on site. Early shift duties include welcoming riders, issuing claim tickets, and parking bikes in a secure corral. Those who cover the full game receive an SVBC volunteer shirt, a canvas bag, and a bike safety light. The atmosphere emphasizes teamwork, positive energy, and real impact on congestion and air quality. Comfortable athletic clothing and closed-toe shoes are recommended. Dress for the weather, bring a reusable water bottle, and pack extra snacks. To avoid getting stuck in stadium traffic, consider parking at River Oaks VTA Station and taking light rail to the stadium entrance to check in at Gate A, or traveling from River Oaks Station along the Guadalupe River Trail to Gate C. Another option is to park at Eddie Souza Park and ride in via the San Tomas Aquino Creek Trail. Trail security may require a confirmation email for stadium access on that route.
