Bring necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and more, whether broken, vintage, modern, or gently loved, and give them a second life. Asqqu Creations will introduce a Barter System that allows trades of unworn or redesign-ready items for a custom piece made just for the participant. The swap is hosted by Julie Garrett-Wright, owner of Asqqu Creations, a jewelry and functional art business that works with recycled materials and supports sustainability, community, and the arts, with experience hosting and attending clothing swaps as part of the Swap Society network. Attendees should bring a bag. Jewelry is accepted in any condition, while clothing and shoes must be clean and gently used. Undergarments are not accepted, and items intended solely as donations are not part of this swap. Any leftover pieces are saved for future events or donated to Vista Rise Collective and Christmas Cheer, with 460 pounds previously donated to Christmas Cheer and 46 pounds to Vista Rise Collective. Tickets enable a one-for-one exchange, and Swap Society members use a shopping pass for unlimited swapping at all locations with added perks. Heavenly VillageLake Tahoe Dive Adventure 9/19-9/20 2026 (Altitude Certified)
Tri-Valley Dive Club has organized a friendly campout and diving adventure at Lake Tahoe that welcomes both divers and non-divers. Activities focus on Meeks Bay, with two dives planned there and a light group lunch between them. A short PADI Altitude Diver course is available for those who are not yet altitude certified, combining one classroom session with two training dives in the lake. Divers who already hold altitude certification can buddy up and dive. Campsites have been set aside at Kaspian Campground for those who want to camp, and hotels in Tahoe City offer an option for non-campers. Camping costs $40 per camper, plus a parking fee paid at the campground. The altitude course pricing includes a $111 course fee and a $200 instructor fee. A potluck campfire dinner brings everyone together one evening, and some meals are on your own. The plan wraps up with a nearby lunch stop to allow time for post-altitude off-gassing, with further details covered in the altitude class. Spots are limited. The Sharkfest Swim at Sand Harbor is a stop in the Sierra Open Water Swimming Series, set on a broad sandy beach along Lake Tahoe. Participants can choose the Classic Course or swim 1.2 mile or 2.4 mile distances, with options for both wetsuit and non-wetsuit competitors. The venue covers 55 acres featuring sandy shoreline, rocky coves, shaded forest, and expansive lake views. Recognized as a highlight within Nevada State Parks, Sand Harbor serves as the scenic backdrop for this open water event.
Sand Harbor State ParkHope Motorcycle Rally - Pre Rally Ride: Lake Tahoe and Virginia City.
This is the first in a series of at least three pre-rally rides. The ride sets off from the Golden Nugget hotel and casino in Stateline, Nevada at South Lake Tahoe, then follows the lake’s eastern shoreline to Mount Rose Highway. From there, it continues along Geiger Grade into historic Virginia City for lunch and time to wander downtown. The route moves on to Carson City and then to Genoa for a short visit, before cruising along the scenic Foothill Road and over Kingsbury Grade to finish back at the Golden Nugget.

South Lake Tahoe LibraryHope Motorcycle Rally - Pre Rally Ride: Gold Country Ride
This second pre-rally ride departs from the Golden Nugget in Stateline in South Lake Tahoe and follows a loop through the Sierra Nevada into California’s Gold Country. The route heads out on U.S. Highway 50 to State Route 89, then continues along scenic Route 88 toward Sutter Creek, with a stop for lunch and time to explore this Gold Rush town. Next, the ride follows historic State Route 49 to Placerville, also known as Hangtown, with another break to look around. The return leg traces U.S. 50 back to Lake Tahoe.

The third pre rally motorcycle ride sets out from Golden Nugget Lake Tahoe in Stateline and climbs Kingsbury Grade into Carson Valley. The route continues along scenic 395 on the eastern side of the Sierra, then takes the June Lake Loop for a lunch stop and plenty of photo opportunities. The return heads north on 395, connects with State Route 88 for a ride through Hope Valley, and finishes back at Lake Tahoe. Expect wide open mountain views and alpine scenery throughout, and a camera will come in handy.
Golden Nugget Lake TahoeHope Rally. All Bikes Welcome
Starting as a concept in 2017, this annual fundraising rally now draws hundreds of motorcycle enthusiasts. All bikes are welcome to participate in awareness-focused activities held across multiple events, culminating in a grand finale at Golden Nugget Lake Tahoe. The celebration highlights the collective effort, and two lucky winners will take home a custom Indian Motorcycle.

Take a trip to the circus with Teen Camp, a weekend experience for ages 12 to 17 that combines teen-focused activities with practical diabetes education. Campers stay active with a variety of experiences and often head home excited for future camps. Safety and support are a priority. Seasoned counselors who live with diabetes or have extensive experience supporting it supervise all participants, and a dedicated medical team helps manage diabetes throughout the weekend while building skills and confidence. Families in Southern Nevada have the option for their camper to fly to Teen Camp. Roughly 25 to 30 people travel together on the same flight, and each child is accompanied by assigned counselors along with the medical team. There is no C.I.T. leadership program for this camp. Lake Tahoe Mushroom Festival
The Lake Tahoe Mushroom Festival brings together Sierra Nevada Alliance and a team of local fungi experts, including mycologists, educators, researchers, and seasoned field guides, to celebrate mushrooms, forest ecosystems, and the web of relationships that sustain the region. The focus is on nurturing environmental stewardship and deepening understanding of the essential roles fungi play in thriving landscapes, with the aim of building a community more connected to nature and empowered to care for the places it loves. Throughout the festival, attendees can explore guided mushroom walks, talks and demonstrations led by specialists, educational displays, artisan and vendor offerings, live music, a children’s area, nature-inspired crafts, and other activities designed to spark curiosity, learning, and connection through engaging, accessible experiences.
