This second pre-rally ride departs from the Golden Nugget in Stateline in South Lake Tahoe and follows a loop through the Sierra Nevada into California’s Gold Country. The route heads out on U.S. Highway 50 to State Route 89, then continues along scenic Route 88 toward Sutter Creek, with a stop for lunch and time to explore this Gold Rush town. Next, the ride follows historic State Route 49 to Placerville, also known as Hangtown, with another break to look around. The return leg traces U.S. 50 back to Lake Tahoe.

Tai Chi Chuan at Aspen Grove centers on slow, flowing movement paired with focused breathing to support balance, flexibility, mindfulness, and stress relief. This moving form of meditation is accessible to a wide range of fitness levels and is open to adults ages 18 and older. Instruction is led by Dave Norehad, who brings more than 15 years of experience. Enrollment is offered per class, priced at $23 or $18 with an IVGID Pass, and participants may register for a single session or multiple meetings.

The third pre rally motorcycle ride sets out from Golden Nugget Lake Tahoe in Stateline and climbs Kingsbury Grade into Carson Valley. The route continues along scenic 395 on the eastern side of the Sierra, then takes the June Lake Loop for a lunch stop and plenty of photo opportunities. The return heads north on 395, connects with State Route 88 for a ride through Hope Valley, and finishes back at Lake Tahoe. Expect wide open mountain views and alpine scenery throughout, and a camera will come in handy.

Trade your mat for a beach towel and move through sequences that alternate between dynamic Hatha and a slower Vinyasa flow. Experienced practitioners may be invited to explore inversions. Arrive ready to greet the sun and savor time practicing on the sand.

This community fundraiser at Cascade Kitchens supports South Lake Tahoe’s Junior A hockey team following its promotion to the NCDC West Conference, the highest tier of junior hockey within the USPHL. A portion of all food and beverage sales will be donated to the Lake Tahoe Lakers Scholarship Fund, helping cover ice time, coaching, and travel for local student-athletes. Guests can enjoy the food hall’s range of dining choices, connect with friends and neighbors, and learn how the scholarship benefits the region. Line dancing and cold beer take over the Incline Public House dance floor. Wear your favorite boots and get ready to kick up your heels with easy to follow instruction. The event is free and welcomes all ages, with line dance lessons offered so everyone can take part.

Rasta Fest brings a reggae twist to traditional beer season at Lake Tahoe AleWorX at the Y. The celebration blends island rhythms with craft beer, great food, and Oktoberfest flair, featuring live music and entertainment, reggae-inspired DJs, and a performance by Arden Park Roots. Guests can expect Oktoberfest-themed beer and cocktail specials, wood-fired pizza and featured food offerings, local vendors and artisan booths, along with games, contests, and prizes throughout the day. Attendees are encouraged to wear tropical, reggae, or Oktoberfest outfits. The festivities continue with an official after party inside the Cocktail Corner Lounge.
