Share your voice at an open mic that welcomes poetry, live music, storytelling, and stand-up. Performers can sign in or check with the host for their category to get on stage. Within each category, sets are limited to five minutes.

Celebrate at the finish of the Hell of a Half Marathon with a post race party where Jaded provides the entertainment. This race embraces the idea that growth comes from challenge, with a demanding course and typically hot conditions. Conquering the 13.1 mile route off the beaten path brings serious bragging rights. It is also the second race in the Run the Valley Half Marathon Series. Support on the course includes eleven aid stations stocked with ice, water, sponges, sports drink, and gels, and participants are encouraged to bring their own hydration. Relay teams have shuttle transportation. DJs keep the energy high along the route, and the finish venue turns festive. The Tulare County Fire Department raises a U.S. garrison flag at the start and finish. Perks include a complimentary breakfast from Rushbowl and Rocio’s Catering, free race photos, RaceJoy tracking, and live results delivered to phones. A free Michelob Ultra beer garden adds to the celebration, along with the Michelob Ultra stage that keeps the party atmosphere going. Awards recognize the top three in each age group and relay category, overall male and female finishers, and leading relay teams across three divisions. Runners receive a women’s tech tank or a men’s unisex short sleeve tech shirt, on site post race care from PRO~PT at the finish, and a standout finisher medal.

Sundown Social brings a summer night market to Visalia, gathering local businesses, culture, music, food, and creativity in one welcoming setting. Hosted by Parani Pastries at El Presidente, the event is designed to help entrepreneurs, creatives, professionals, and community members connect, celebrate, and support each other. It spotlights the talent and dedication found throughout the Central Valley, featuring small businesses, private practices, nonprofits, and community groups. A giveaway offering more than $200 in prizes is planned. Organizers are also seeking participation from local vendors, entrepreneurs, professionals, community organizations, and creative small businesses across industries such as beauty, wellness, food, finance, real estate, art, and retail.
