Opening Night at Sterne Park kicks off the 98th Western Welcome Week with free admission and an evening of music, food, and sky-high entertainment. A Little Jam concert features The Petty Nicks Experience, a tribute to Tom Petty and Stevie Nicks, presented by the City of Littleton. The night concludes with a custom drone show as hundreds of lights tell the story of Western Welcome Week. Local food trucks offer a range of options, and the Western Welcome Week beverage station pours selections from Wilding Brands, including Howdy Beer, Denver Beer Co, and Stem Ciders. Beverage purchases support Western Welcome Week as it builds toward its 100th celebration in 2028. Attendees are welcome to bring lawn chairs, and tents are not permitted. The festivities also recognize "Colorful Colorado - 150 Years!" and honor the 2026 Western Welcome Week Grand Marshal, Bob “Mohawkamania” Bagnall, known for his vibrant personality, unmistakable style, and enthusiastic spirit.

This free concert in Commons Park is part of the Dancing in the Streets Summer Concert Series and features Last Men on Earth. The music is geared toward dancing and a lively crowd.
