Every animal available through this event is spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and either 4DX tested or FeLV/FIV tested. To get started, complete an adoption application on the rescue’s website. After approval, your application stays valid for one year. With approval, you may request a hold on a specific animal for the Saturday adoption event, which guarantees the chance to meet and make a decision before other applicants, without any obligation to adopt. Approved applicants may also contact foster homes to ask about the personalities of individual animals. Applications cannot be processed at the event, so plan ahead. Applications submitted after 5 pm Monday through Thursday begin review the next day, and those submitted Friday through Sunday begin review on Monday. Processing typically takes 1 to 2 business days. An approved application is required to handle animals at the event.
