    Skull Cup VIII

    6324 S US-85-87, Fountain · verified Aug 30
    See details

Skull Cup VIII is a sanctioned COBBRA Blood Bowl tournament hosted by the local WEMBBL league in Colorado Springs with support from the Colorado Organized Blood Bowl Regional Association. Results will be tracked in BBTM.App and submitted to NAF. The event will be held at J & J Games N Hobbies. Coaches will compete in a Swiss style resurrection format where injuries do not carry over. The first round is a random draw, then pairings match the highest ranked coach against the next highest coach they have not already faced, and the same roster is used in every game. Rounds are strictly timed, with pace updates from the organizer. The day features three rounds, a lunch break, and awards to close. NAF 2025 Rules will be used. There is no inducement phase so the disposable skill has no effect on rosters, and there is no overtime. All NAF approved races are allowed, including Slann or Kislev as models permit. Journeymen, Special Play cards, Prayers to Nuffle, Mercenaries, Referees, and Wizards are not allowed, and every roster must list at least 11 players before adding star players. Coaches build teams with 1.2 million gold pieces, then spend an additional 180k on skills. Primary skills cost 20k and secondary skills cost 40k, with an extra 10k for elite skills such as Block, Dodge, Guard, or Mighty Blow. No more than three copies of any purchased skill are permitted, stacking is not allowed, and there are no stat increases. The following star players are not permitted: Griff Oberwald, Hakflem Skuttlespike, Morg n Thorg, Bomber Dribblesnot, Jordell Freshbreeze, Hthark the Unstoppable, and Grak & Crumbleberry. The Highlander rule will be in effect. Bring a fully painted team with at least three colors, clearly mark each player, and ensure your models clearly represent their positions. Third party models are welcome. Bring three copies of your roster that include your NAF name and number, along with blocking dice, templates, pitches, dugouts, and other game accessories. Custom tournament D6 will be provided, and only those D6 may be used for any D6 rolls, though former Skull Cup dice are also allowed. Pre registration is $20 and entry at the door is $25. Completed rosters can be sent to winterhorse@yahoo.com, and entry fees can be paid via PayPal to the same address. Questions about the tournament or payment can be directed there as well. To register with NAF at a $5 rate, contact regional representative Steve Campbell at kilowoggy@gmail.com, or register on the NAF website for $10. Prizes will be spread across categories, with awards including Champion, Runner Up, Stunty Cup, Most Brutal, Most TDs, and Last Place, the Fugitive of Khorne. Match scoring awards 60 points for a win, 30 for a tie, and 10 for a loss, with bonus points to be announced.
