Garden tools are available on site, though personal tools are welcome. Pack sunscreen, a hat, and drinking water for comfort. This weekly, in-season activity takes place weather permitting. The Concert for LiftUp comes back to mark LiftUp’s 30th anniversary and raise funds for its capital campaign that supports neighbors throughout Routt County. Snow Bowl and Family Bowl present a full bill led by the JR Adams Band, with additional surprise guests to be announced. Proceeds support LiftUp’s community efforts. The event is supported by sponsors including Alpine Bank, Blu Environmental, Central Park Management and Storage, Northwest Data Systems, Sloop Painting, Steamboat Hospitality, Steamboat Radio, and Yampa Valley Bank.

A one-time guided hike pairs geology with archaeology. Led by a Yampatika geologist, the group follows a moderate route through a glacial valley to explore the Yampa Valley's deep geologic story, then visits archaeological sites along the way. USFS archaeologists share perspectives on area history and Indigenous uses. Open to ages 14 and older. The fee is $30 and registration is required.

This away MSVB quad brings several teams together for a set of matchups in one place. Expect a steady flow of competition as the program plays multiple opponents in a single outing.

This two-day workshop focuses on the rewards and challenges of creating paintings outdoors. Instruction covers building strong compositions, working with values, using color effectively, and bringing energy to pieces made on location. A morning demo is included, followed by time to paint. Plan to work outside and come prepared with a portable easel, odorless solvents, and clothing suitable for the weather. The format is concise and moves quickly, with a lot of material addressed in a short span. Saturday meets at Steamboat Art Museum. Sunday centers on outdoor painting, with the exact site to be announced. All experience levels are welcome. Oil is recommended for the fullest experience, and acrylic, pastel, and watercolor are also accepted.

Historic Hayden Granary presents Art Posito, an evening at the Granary that honors creative work and its connection to the land. Serving as the finale to the month-long Depot Arts Center exhibition Mono No Aware, curated by artist Wendy Kowynia, the gathering focuses on themes of environment, water, and landscape and features artists Amy Laugesen, Wendy Kowynia, and Ted Moore. The program includes a farm to table dinner, live music, a lively barn dance, and an auction benefiting the Granary. For deeper engagement, afternoon artist workshops with Wendy Kowynia and Amy Laugesen are hosted by Steamboat Creates at the historic Carpenter Ranch and Diamond O ranches. Nature walks at both ranch locations offer a closer look at the Yampa River and its riparian forest.
