Created by the Gore Range Gravity Alliance to foster an inclusive and empowering environment, this gathering blends activity and community. Registration and a signed waiver are required, with registration details to be shared soon. Plan to park in the Summit Baseball Diamond lot, check in at the parking area, then split into groups before getting underway. Ambassadors will introduce themselves and activities will start promptly, so late arrivals cannot be accommodated. Afterward, an après social offers time to relax and get to know one another, and those who prefer may attend that portion only. For biking, newcomers are welcome, although the ride is not intended for true first-timers and ambassadors are not serving as guides or coaches. Participants should be comfortable on their bikes and familiar with their gear. This is not a professionally guided outing and riders participate at their own risk, with a no-one-left-behind approach. Suggested items include a helmet, water, basic tools, layers, and snacks. The run is best suited to those comfortable with an easy pace of about 12 minutes per mile for roughly 3 to 5 miles.

An intermediate bike tour led by Museum staff goes around Mount Royal and through Tenmile Canyon, stopping at historic mines to share insights into Frisco’s mining history, the natural environment, and the area’s railroads. The guided ride begins at the Schoolhouse Museum and follows the Recreation Path for roughly two miles of gradual uphill riding with multiple stops along the way. After the final mine visit, participants can return to the Schoolhouse with the group on a fully downhill route or continue up the Recreation Path toward Copper Mountain on their own. The total distance is just over five miles round trip, with planned water breaks and scenic views. Advance registration is required, and registration closes the day before.

Build practical backcountry navigation skills in Colorado through an immersive two-day course that blends classic techniques with modern technology. Participants may enroll in one of two modules or complete both together at a discounted rate. The first module focuses on analog navigation with map and compass. You will explore topographic map reading, terrain interpretation, compass basics, taking and following bearings, and applying route-finding choices during realistic field scenarios that do not depend on a phone’s GPS or battery. The second module introduces digital tools, featuring CalTopo for comprehensive route planning, GPS tracking, managing offline maps, sharing plans with others, and in-the-field practice that integrates phone-based navigation with paper maps and a compass, along with strategies for extending battery life. Instruction combines classroom learning with hands-on application. By the end, you will be planning efficient routes, staying oriented, adapting to changing conditions, and making sound decisions with an emphasis on risk management and the thoughtful integration of analog and digital systems for confident travel in Colorado and beyond. The course includes an experienced instructor, a printed topo map, and a completion certificate. Participants provide their own food, water, and snacks, are responsible for any gratuity, and should bring a baseplate compass such as a Suunto A-10 or a comparable model.

Coaching is tailored to your current abilities, focusing on the techniques that most improve confidence, control, and speed. Key skills are broken down and immediately applied on real trails around Summit County, so you finish riding more smoothly, with greater control and faster pace. Training covers bike handling and balanced body position, cornering through tight turns, front and rear wheel lifts, drops with an introduction to jumping, getting the most from your suspension, and essential on trail maintenance. Sessions are held either in the third floor event space with floor to ceiling windows and views of the river and mountains, or in the backyard with the sound of the Blue River. Weekend clinics at Keystone Bike Park focus on building the technical base, confidence, and control needed for gravity focused downhill riding. Geared toward riders ages 10 to 15 with intermediate skills or higher, they welcome those progressing from trail riding into bike park descents as well as experienced gravity riders who want to sharpen fundamentals. Sessions emphasize stable body position on descents, effective braking and speed control, smooth cornering with thoughtful line choice, attentive terrain reading, and growing confidence on steeper, more technical trails.

Explore Frisco's past on a 90-minute guided walk along historic Main Street. Museum staff lead the route and share stories from more than 140 years of local history. The tour begins at the Schoolhouse Museum, continues along Main Street, and ends at the historic Lund House at the Frisco Bay Marina. The path may change depending on weather or construction. Recommended for ages 10 and up. For groups with younger children, the passport program at the Historic Park is suggested. Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in with the guide. Advance registration is required and typically opens 4 to 5 weeks ahead.

Bring a readiness to move, explore, and spend full days outdoors. The journey begins with an afternoon float on the Upper Colorado River, an easygoing stretch with Class I–II water and towering canyon walls. Fall here feels unrushed as cottonwoods and aspens light up the banks, ranchlands glow beside the water, willows edge the current, and wildlife becomes easier to spot once the summer bustle fades. That first day on the river sets a calm, confident rhythm for the rest of the trip. Over the next three days, participants explore the high country through beginner-friendly rock climbing, a starter mountain bike lesson, and a guided summit day. The climbing day is an introduction led by seasoned guides at a crag chosen for the conditions, with all technical gear provided. The bike day follows the Breckenridge-to-Frisco trail corridor and begins with a fitting at the rental shop before rolling out on an instructional ride. These field days run for about eight hours, and transportation to trailheads, along with lunches, snacks, and water, is included. Three or four nights at The Block in Silverthorne are part of the package, so the focus stays on the experience rather than logistics. After each full day, return to a comfortable room in a property with a locals-loved bar and convenient access to nearby dining. Choose a basic room or a larger queen. Friends who wish to share a room can split bookings by having one person select a queen suite and the other choose a no-lodging option. A minimum of three participants is required for the retreat to run. Professional, friendly guide services are included for all four days, along with all technical equipment such as helmets, harnesses, ropes, climbing shoes, rafting gear, and PFDs. Lunch, snacks, and water are provided each day, and guide gratuity is already covered in the package price. Breakfasts and dinners are not included. Mountain bike rentals are available for an additional $100 per person and can be arranged. Designed for women with a solid base of fitness, this experience welcomes first-timers and seasoned adventurers alike.
