USA Cheer brings its College Recruiting Combine to Delaware, offering exposure to college Cheer and STUNT coaches. Held at the University of Delaware, this recruiting-focused event is aimed at athletes interested in pursuing collegiate opportunities.

GriefShare at Elkton Presbyterian Church provides a welcoming place to process sorrow and find support alongside others who understand. It is designed for those grieving the death of a spouse, child, parent, family member, or friend, and acknowledges how loss can leave people feeling overwhelmed and alone. Through conversation, encouragement from Scripture, and the care of a compassionate group, participants explore hope, share burdens, and take steps toward healing. This gathering is offered as a 13 week series at Elkton Presbyterian Church and is open to people whose loss is recent or from years past.

This game night creates a relaxed, welcoming space where people in recovery can laugh, connect, and build healthy relationships with others who understand the journey. It features a mix of board games, card games, and group activities, so there is something for everyone. No special skills are required, just a willingness to have fun and spend time with peers.

A community celebration honors local kids and teens who are bravely facing childhood cancer, surrounded by superhero fun for all ages and plenty of meaningful ways to help. The day includes a heartfelt salute to these young heroes, along with perspectives from families, medical professionals, and nonprofit workers on how childhood cancer affects the community. Attendees can take action by donating blood at the Blood Bank of Delmarva blood drive. A kickoff giveaway will enter the first 20 people registered for the blood drive to win a $50 DelPez gift card. Additional ways to contribute include donating hair at a station run by Trilogy Salon, crafting cards or hero bracelets for children in treatment, visiting nonprofit booths to learn about local support efforts, and registering with NMDP, the international bone marrow registry. Superhero-themed activities add to the experience with an obstacle course and jousting ring, meet-and-greets with Captain America and Spiderman, superhero training, an inflatable designed for younger children, face painting, a villain-hunting scavenger quest with a prize, interactions with first responder heroes, a photo booth with superhero filters, and super performances. Free raffles offer chances to win prizes, and winners must be present to claim them. Food trucks will be on site, and all purchases will benefit local nonprofits that support kids fighting cancer.

This All Recovery Meeting welcomes anyone who supports recovery, recognizing that there are many paths and that each person’s journey reflects their own strengths. The environment is non-denominational and focuses on the hope that recovery offers, highlighting that it is not a solitary process. Participants can connect with others who are beginning or sustaining a recovery lifestyle. Guidance is provided by trained and certified IFPR Peer Recovery Specialists. The meeting offers social support for those seeking or maintaining recovery, as well as for family members, friends and other supporters affected by substance use.
