You can also learn about pet-safe plants at a pet-friendly plants talk, meet adoptable pets, and check out participating organizations and activities throughout the event. For animal safety, pets should be properly restrained on a leash or in a carrier during the event, and the event recommends pets be fully vaccinated.

A family-friendly LEGO fan expo brings creativity and play to the Florida State Fairgrounds Expo Hall in Tampa. Expect elaborate displays from hundreds of builders, showcasing themes like outer space, railways, castles, and bustling city scenes. Hands-on areas invite attendees to design and race brick-built cars, create colorful mosaics, and take part in a collaborative project to build a 5-foot-tall minifigure. A 125-foot remote controlled off-road course offers high energy fun for LEGO vehicles. Special guests add to the excitement, including Mark and Steven Erickson, winners of LEGO Masters Season 2, along with other well-known contestants. A bridge-building showdown hosted by Master Builder Michael Larimer puts engineering skills to the test. The STEM Zone features games and activities led by LEGO Masters champion Corey and Christine. Nutcracker auditions welcome dancers in age-based groups, including ages 4 to 6, 7 to 9, 10 to 12, and 13 and up, with a separate partnering session for those in Ballet level 3 or higher. The audition fee is $60 for group roles and $80 for lead roles. Fees include costume rental and all rehearsals, and participation also requires enrollment in a separate ballet class.
