Explore how extraordinary records transform into feats of human performance grounded in real science at The Science of Guinness World Records. This interactive exhibition invites guests to investigate the biology, psychology, and mechanics behind record-setting achievements. Try hands-on challenges that measure strength, focus, reflexes, and endurance in an arena where progress appears on real-time leaderboards. Begin with an immersive introductory theater and locomotive experience that traces the origins of GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS and its role as a global authority on record-breaking. Learn what qualifies as an official record through an interactive quiz that highlights the scientific principles and criteria involved. Delve into astonishing records, aim for top scores in the Attempt Arenas, and gain insights from an official adjudicator and a scientist. Strengthen concentration with memory exercises, tactile puzzles, and interactive games inspired by techniques used by real record holders. Test your reaction time in rapid-response activities, follow your improvements on live leaderboards, and pick up tips for getting faster. Push your limits in endurance stations such as the hang bar and balance boards while discovering the science behind muscle fatigue and stamina. Conclude with a video featuring inspiring stories of record holders, then pose with official certificates to imagine your own place in the record books. Exhibit included with Museum admission.
