Hadestown: Teen Edition: A Summer Theater Camp Production

At the Broward Center for the Performing Arts, Hadestown: Teen Edition brings Anaïs Mitchell’s myth-inspired tale to the stage in a complete version created for teen performers and welcoming to families. The story traces two intertwined romances, the hopeful Orpheus and Eurydice alongside the immortal Hades and Persephone, guiding audiences on a trip to the underworld and back. A continuous, sung score draws on classic American folk traditions and the flavor of vintage New Orleans jazz, while the narrative examines the pull between industry and nature, the struggle between doubt and belief, and how love confronts fear. This production features summer campers ages 13 to 18. Lap tickets priced at $3 are available for children 12 months and under exclusively at the Broward Center’s AutoNation Box Office. Every person in the theater must have a ticket.
