Meet the center’s Animal Ambassadors during a Creature Feature, where visitors are introduced to some of the more than 55 exotic animals that live there. These presentations provide up-close, safe interactions and share information about the creatures that call the museum home. Space is limited and available on a first come, first served basis, and online registration does not guarantee a spot. Creature Features may be unavailable at times due to summer field trip bookings, so check ahead for availability or possible closure notices. Access to Creature Features is included with general admission.

Adult staff are present throughout, with monitoring across the course and common areas. Kids can spend their days moving, learning, and making friends at Mind over Mat Summer Camp hosted at Santa Rosa Beach Aerial Arts. Campers will explore yoga, dance, juggling, and flow arts, with an additional special activity offered each day. Teaching staff are trained in Conscious Discipline, and the group size is supported by a ratio of one teacher for every 12 children. All children ages 5 to 13 are welcome. Preregistration is required and space is limited. Please send a lunch box with a snack and a water bottle; a yoga mat is optional and active-wear is recommended. This is the eighth of thirteen Tuesday nights along the Emerald Coast, a midsummer soundtrack for warm Gulf evenings. Davis is the 2025 Josie Music Awards Artist of the Year for Outlaw Country and a national touring performer who plays more than 150 shows a year. A combat-disabled veteran, he uses his songs to give voice to experiences that are hard to put into words, focusing on faith, family, and the cost of war and redemption from someone who has lived it. At Emerald Bay Golf Club, this All Sports Association golf tournament turns a day on the course into meaningful support for youth athletics across the Emerald Coast. The association is volunteer driven and raises funds for local nonprofits with a strong focus on sports, supporting organizations such as the Boys & Girls Club of the Emerald Coast, Special Olympics Florida – Okaloosa, the Eleanor J. Johnson Youth Center, and Okaloosa Walton FCA. Participation helps provide opportunities and resources for young athletes and the programs that serve them. The format is a four person scramble, and the field is limited to the first 36 teams. The team fee is 800 dollars and covers four golfers, sponsor signage on a hole, lunch after play, and water, beer, and soft drinks. Raffles and prizes are planned, with opportunities to connect with local business and community leaders. Summer STEAM Workshop: Secrets of the Castle Part 1
Secrets of the Castle Part 1 invites young witches and wizards to a Harry Potter inspired summer camp filled with hands on discovery. Participants will brew lively potions, dig into herbology, learn about magical creatures, and enjoy other enchanting activities that spark curiosity, creativity, and new friendships. Topics span astronomy, chemistry, botany, and physics. The fee is $45 per workshop for members and $50 for nonmembers. Each additional sibling receives $15 off per workshop. Dog-Harmony presents a four-week program designed for dog-and-handler teams preparing for official evaluation with Intermountain Therapy Animals. Through practical lessons, participants build essential skills in safe handling and therapy-dog etiquette while learning how to navigate visits in hospitals, schools, libraries, and other community settings. In-person classes take place at Pet Supplies Plus, and the curriculum includes a required online session with ITA evaluator Merilee Kelly. The cost is 195 dollars and includes the Intermountain Therapy Animals training manual for affiliated organizations. After the instructional portion and the Zoom session, teams receive support for testing, guidance with application paperwork, and opportunities to observe therapy-dog visits without their dogs to gain confidence.
