Get ready for a night trail race through the Citrus Tract of the Withlacoochee Forest. You can choose the 5-mile, 10-mile, or 20-mile distance, with the course marked using reflective pins and glow sticks. Headlamps or flashlights are required, and runners are encouraged to dress in bright colors. Packet pickup runs from 5:00 PM until 7:25 PM, and check-in begins 45 minutes before your registered start time. The 5-mile race starts at 7:30 PM, the 10-mile starts at 7:00 PM, and the 20-mile starts at 6:00 PM, with the course closing at 11:00 PM. Afterward, there’s a post-race picnic and every finisher receives a handcrafted medal.

Spooktacularly Sweet Stroll
The second annual Spooktacularly Sweet Stroll offers a family friendly Halloween outing through Weeki Wachee, Brooksville, and Spring Hill. Pick up a free passport and a map of bakery stops at Bishop’s Bakery or another designated pickup point, then make your way among participating bakery and artisan stands around the neighborhood. At each stop, collect a spooky sticker to mark your passport, browse and purchase tasty treats, and support local makers and bakers. Many stands will add to the fun with trick or treat surprises. Every stop also provides an entry into a raffle for a Halloween basket, and the more stands you visit, the more chances you earn. Raffle entries are limited to one per person at each stand, with a bonus entry available for posting a photo of your completed passport on the event page. Participation is free, with goodies available for purchase along the route. Please park thoughtfully, as you would for a neighborhood garage sale, and be mindful of driveways. Bishop’s Bakery is the sole coordinator of this event, and any messages asking for contact, likes, payments, or other participation from other sources are scams.
Movie Night: Ghostbusters
Start Halloween weekend with an outdoor screening of the classic film Ghostbusters as part of Movies in the Parks. A festive pumpkin patch sets the scene, and Halloween-themed games and activities are planned ahead of the feature. Costumes are welcome, with chances for fun photos and time to choose a comfortable spot before the show. Attendees may want to bring blankets, lawn chairs, and their favorite crew for an evening filled with laughs, memories, and Halloween spirit.
