DAS Beer GardenJuly 18 ACL Regional
The final South Florida Cornhole regional of the season lands at the Moose Lodge in Palm Beach Gardens. The day opens with Doubles Rounders, giving every team five games with a 12 round limit, then records seed three double elimination brackets labeled Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3. Singles follow as divisions are ready, with Tier 1 Singles for CPI 0 to 12, Tier 3 Singles for CPI up to 7.25, and Tier 4 Singles for CPI up to 5.75. If there is time at the end, a Tier 1 blind draw may run. Entry details include $70 per team for Doubles Rounders with a 70 percent payout split across tiers at 55, 30, and 15 percent. Tier 1 Singles is $35 per player with a 70 percent payout. Tier 3 Singles is $25 per player with a 60 percent payout. Tier 4 Singles is $25 per player with a 50 percent payout. If the blind draw happens, it is $20 per player with a 75 percent payout and on site sign up. Gold, Platinum, and Diamond ACL members pay standard entry fees. Free or Club Level members add $10 per player per event. Pre registration is encouraged to save, and day of entries add $5 per player per event. This regional uses tiers rather than traditional skill levels. The ACL Cornhole Performance Index runs from 0.00 to 12.00 and determines eligibility for each division. For example, players above 7.25 CPI are not eligible for T3 Singles. Competitors may choose to play up for larger payouts and more ACL Regional Points, and some blind draws may set CPI minimums or maximums. Creating multiple accounts to enter lower divisions may lead to ACL suspension, and directors may place players in higher tiers based on performance. ACL Regional Points are awarded by tier as follows. Tier 1 awards 81 to 100 points. Tier 2 awards 61 to 80 points. Tier 3 awards 41 to 60 points. Tier 4 awards 21 to 40 points. Tier 5 awards 1 to 20 points. Food, beer, and liquor are available for purchase. Outside alcohol is not permitted. Chairs are provided, and bringing a personal chair is welcome.

A weekly Thursday class blends Yoga Nidra with a restorative sound bath at Om Shanti Yoga School in Tequesta. Yoga Nidra is a guided meditation that moves through the five layers of being, practiced lying down in a supported savasana so it remains calming and accessible to all. Studies have noted potential benefits that include easing stress and anxiety, supporting those with chronic pain, and improving sleep. After the guided rest, crystal singing bowls fill the space with soothing resonance for a sound bath that helps synchronize brainwaves. This gentle entrainment can shift the mind from normal waking patterns into relaxed alpha and even deeply meditative theta states, helping quiet the nervous system, clear mental clutter, and encourage the body’s natural capacity to restore itself.
