Enjoy a free community pack walk and socialization session hosted by Devoted Canine Training at Bob Gardner Community Park in the Lakewood Ranch area. This relaxed, drop-in outing welcomes dog owners of any experience level, whether you are working with a new puppy, a high-energy companion who needs help minding manners around distractions, or a pet that benefits from a calm, structured setting. Meet near the main pavilion and trailhead by the playground, and look for the trainer wearing a treat pouch. Participants practice polite leash walking on real community trails, build focus amid common park activity such as disc golf, runners, and playground noise, and reinforce steady, non-reactive behavior around other dogs and handlers. A friendly Q&A with a professional trainer is part of the experience. Bring your dog on a standard flat collar, martingale, or harness with a short leash, along with high-value treats, waste bags, and water. Please skip retractable leashes. For everyone’s safety, keep 6 to 8 feet of space from other teams, and avoid nose-to-nose greetings or on-leash play to maintain a low-stress environment. All friendly, leashed dogs are welcome at no cost.
