Mainly Mozart Festival 2026: From Haffner to Shakespeare

Violinist William Hagen appears with pianist Marina Radiushina at the Knight Center for Music Innovation for an intimate recital shaped by classical elegance and theatrical flair. A laureate of the Queen Elisabeth Competition, Hagen has collaborated with leading ensembles such as the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the Chamber Orchestra of Europe, and the San Francisco Symphony, and has performed in renowned spaces including Wigmore Hall and the Louvre. Reviewers have noted his refined timing, vibrant tone, pinpoint intonation, brilliant clarity, and a rare emotional openness. Radiushina, Artistic Director of the Mainly Mozart Festival, is recognized as a formidable virtuoso with deep interpretive insight and stylistic command. Fritz Kreisler’s Liebesleid and Caprice Viennois, along with his spirited Rondo on Mozart’s Haffner Serenade, add warmth, wit, and a nostalgic Viennese glow. Erich Korngold’s suite from Much Ado About Nothing brings a stage-worthy spark with agile character pieces and tender lyricism. At the heart of the program, Grieg’s Violin Sonata No. 3 in C minor unfolds with sweeping Romantic intensity and urgency. Saturdays: Arte Nuova

Orchestra Miami partners with the Music Ministry of Trinity Episcopal Cathedral to present the Saturdays at Trinity series in the cathedral’s historic downtown sanctuary. Each concert brings together Orchestra Miami soloists and distinguished South Florida singers to spotlight the sumptuous sounds of the Art Nouveau era, a period celebrated for theatrical scale, lavish color, and adventurous harmony. This program begins in Italy, highlighting stile floreale, the floral style that broadened early 20th century musical ideals with luxuriant sonorities. Ottorino Respighi is featured in two contrasting works. Il Tramonto, a lyric setting for mezzo-soprano and string quartet inspired by Percy Bysshe Shelley, unfolds a poignant love story through ardent lines that echo Monteverdi and Puccini. The mezzo-soprano solo is performed by Maggie Reneé, a Metropolitan Opera Grand Finalist Award recipient and rising artist noted for stage presence and stylistic range. Respighi’s Piano Quintet in F minor, composed in 1902 and seldom performed, follows with deeply felt writing and expressive lyricism. The program continues with Giacomo Puccini’s elegiac Crisantemi for string quartet, written in memory of Amadeo I of Spain as a single-movement work in ternary form. Songs by Paolo Rosti, whose salon pieces flourished during the Belle Époque, round out the program with tenor Gerardo Ortega as soloist. The chamber ensemble features Orchestra Miami musicians Huifang Chen and Dale Sandvold on violins, Gregory Falkenstein on viola, Susan Bergeron on cello, with Artistic Director Elaine Rinaldi at the piano. Admission is choose-your-price starting at $5, with reserved front row seating available for $30. A wine and bubbly reception with the artists follows the performance. Complimentary parking is available on site, with additional options nearby including street parking, the Omni Garage, and the Metro Mover Omni Station. The series is supported by a grant from the Miami DDA, and future programs will turn to France, then to Germany and Austria.

Le Corsaire Suite

The Cuban Classical Ballet of Miami, guided by artistic director Eriberto Jiménez, brings Le Corsaire Suite to the Fillmore Miami Beach. Inspired by Lord Byron’s The Corsair, this romantic tale follows pirates, maidens, slave traders, and pashas across a Mediterranean setting filled with intrigue and daring. This condensed staging gathers favorite moments from the full ballet, featuring Le Jardin Animé, Pas d’Esclave, the Grand Pas de Trois des Odalisques, and the celebrated Le Corsaire Pas de Deux, a signature showpiece of the classical repertoire. Cuban principal dancers Marize Fumero, Chanell Cabrera, Jorge Oscar Sánchez, and Adrián Sánchez lead the cast alongside CCBM’s soloists and corps de ballet. The stage history of Le Corsaire includes early productions in London and Paris with choreography associated with François Albert and Joseph Mazilier, music by Nicholas Bochsa and Adolphe Adam, and later shaping by Jules Perrot and Marius Petipa, which helped secure its lasting place in ballet history. Founded by Pedro Pablo Peña, the Cuban Classical Ballet of Miami is a leading professional company in South Florida devoted to preserving and sharing the heritage of the Cuban School of Ballet. The ensemble is known for refined technique and expressive artistry, bringing performances to audiences locally, across the country, and abroad that honor classical tradition while keeping it vibrant.

Belle and Sebastian

Glasgow’s Belle and Sebastian emerged with remarkable speed, recording their debut Tigermilk in three days and following with If You’re Feeling Sinister after roughly a week in the studio, both released in 1996 within a span of six months. The results were far from hurried, yielding carefully crafted reflections on love, loneliness, and desire that grew into critical touchstones and modest commercial successes in indie rock. Their narrative focus reflects a literary sensibility, with co-founder and bandleader Stuart Murdoch also active as a novelist and filmmaker, and their sleeves are known for monochrome images of stylish young people. Marking 30 years, the band appears at Arsht to perform If You’re Feeling Sinister in full, alongside selections from across their catalog. The current seven-member lineup released Late Developers in 2023. This engagement is the group’s first Miami performance in over a decade. Meditation & Breathwork - June 6th, 2026 - (YA-Certified)

A full-day, YA-certified immersion in meditation and breathwork invites an experiential exploration of nervous system regulation and awakening practices, guided by Vajra Luz. The day blends yoga, breath, and contemplative practices with clear teaching that bridges scientific understanding and spiritual insight, all aimed at integrating these tools into everyday life. Participants can expect a range of guided techniques, talks that illuminate how practice affects the body and mind, and opportunities to experience awakening as a lived reality. This training offers 10 hours of Yoga Alliance CEU credit. The flow of the day unfolds with an opening circle on intention and the importance of weaving breathwork and meditation into daily routines, followed by a gentle movement sequence that unites breath and motion. Guided pranayama and meditation settle into silence and the still point. A midday dialogue examines different styles of breathing and their impact on nervous system states, then shifts into activating breathwork inspired by kundalini traditions to cultivate energy and clarity. The afternoon focuses on deep relaxation and the role of quiet as a pathway to expanded consciousness, followed by another round of pranayama and meditation. The practice concludes with yin and restorative postures, Yoga Nidra, and a sound journey for rest and integration. A closing circle and tea meditation with Blue Lotus Tea offer space for journaling and community reflection. Vajra brings 25 years of sustained yoga and meditation practice, including five years as a renunciant monk in a traditional yogic ashram. The emphasis centers on breathwork and meditation as accessible, daily tools that foster stillness, clarity, and resilience. Practices from Hatha-Vinyasa, Yin, and Restorative yoga are woven together to support presence, balance the nervous system, and nurture holistic well-being. The approach is steady and heart centered, drawing on lived experience, timeless teachings, and a contemporary understanding of the body-mind connection.

The Juneteenth Experience

Now in its sixth year, this annual South Florida Juneteenth celebration offers an immersive concert theater experience that interweaves soulful melodies, gospel grooves, and classical textures with spoken word and dance. Guided by Hued Songs’ Executive Artistic Director Kunya Rowley, with Musical Director King Friday, choreographer Gentry George, writer Arsimmer McCoy, and visual artist Russell Watson, the program highlights Black creativity across disciplines. The evening opens with a curated slate of short films and video works by local South Florida filmmakers that center Black history, culture, and identity. The concert follows and takes up the season theme, I, Too, Sing America, asking what America sounds like now, in the future, and beyond. With commanding vocalists, energetic choreography, and enveloping multimedia, Hued Songs responds with joy and beauty, placing the full resonance of Black artistry at the heart of the American story. This free event is presented as part of Miami Beach Arts in the Parks by Rhythm Foundation in collaboration with Hued Songs. Food and drinks will be available for purchase. The Miami Beach Bandshell is a covered outdoor venue and programs continue regardless of weather. Photo and video may be captured for Miami Beach Bandshell and Rhythm Foundation marketing, and attendance implies consent to the use of your image and likeness. Some elements may include flashing lights or strobe effects that could affect photosensitive guests. For questions, email info@miamibeachbandshell.com.

Digital Nomad Meetup Miami (Registration is mandatory)

A casual meetup for digital nomads offers connection, inspiration, and a good cup of coffee in a relaxed setting. If working alone has started to feel isolating, this gathering brings people together for genuine conversations, practical advice, and the chance to meet potential coworking or travel companions. There is no set program, just an easygoing atmosphere where chats unfold naturally. Held once a month, it welcomes conversations in French, English, or both. A 3.50€ contribution includes access to the meetup and to community channels for staying connected between events. Payment is online only, which helps keep the initiative sustainable. Expect a space to talk, get some work done, brainstorm ideas, and support one another on the nomad journey. It is designed to ease the isolation of remote work, encourage sharing of tools, tips, and opportunities, and provide a comfortable place to connect over coffee. Freelancers, remote workers, entrepreneurs, and backpackers with a laptop are all welcome. A host may not always be present, since it is set up as an open, welcoming environment where connections grow naturally around the freedom to work from anywhere.
