Awards include trophies for the top two middle school teams, medals for the top ten middle school individuals, and a special award for the overall middle school girl and boy winners. The top ten upper elementary finishers receive medals, and all lower elementary fun run participants earn a finisher medal. Results will be posted online. Registration is required. The fee is $200 per team or club for all races and genders or $20 for an unattached individual, with payment accepted on event day. Coaches and parents of unattached athletes pick up bib numbers at the Registration Pavilion. Members of the 2026 GCR Youth Team Cross Country Team have their entry covered by Gulf Coast Runners and do not need to register or pay. Parking is available in the paved lot, and the park’s grass field is designated for school buses. Be mindful not to block other vehicles, and carpooling is encouraged. Organizers are seeking volunteers aged 14 and older to assist with event operations.     GCR Thanksgiving Day 5K

    Now in its 13th year, this Thanksgiving 5K features a scenic route that begins on 5th Avenue and winds through downtown Naples. Pre-race packet pickup is encouraged at Naples on the Run, while pickup on race day is available but discouraged, and participants using it should plan to arrive early. There is no registration available on race day. Pre-registered 5K entrants receive a shirt, and all 5K finishers earn a medal. A one-mile walk follows shortly after the 5K start. Children can take part in a free 100-yard dash for ages 6 and under and a free 1K fun run for ages 14 and under. The course remains open for 90 minutes, and a full awards ceremony is planned. Strollers and other wheeled devices are welcome, with a request to begin toward the back at the start line. Parking is free. Donations of canned goods and clothing will be collected for St. Matthew’s House, with drop-off available during packet pickup or at the registration area.
