Ballroom Dance for Beginners
Step onto the dance floor with a beginner-friendly ballroom class designed for adults who want to learn in a relaxed, social setting. Instruction begins with the basics of classic styles such as Waltz, Foxtrot, and Rumba. No partner is required, and partners rotate throughout the session so everyone gets a chance to practice together. No prior experience is needed. It is a fun way to stay active while meeting new people. The cost is $15 per person. Comfortable clothing is recommended. Shoes without rubber soles work best, but sneakers are fine if that is what you have.
Longwood BallroomFirst Tuesday Volunteer Trail Team
Volunteer for a morning of trail care at D Ranch Preserve, where a community crew works to keep pathways safe, accessible, and scenic. Tasks typically include widening and maintaining trails, trimming overgrown edges, cutting back brush, clearing fallen branches and other debris, and walking the route to remove low hanging limbs. All experience levels are welcome. Tools are supplied. Bring sturdy gloves, plenty of water, and an appreciation for Florida’s natural landscapes. After the work session, participants can enjoy a bring-your-own lunch.

A Beauty and the Beast themed high tea cruise aboard the Barbara-Lee, hosted by St. Johns Rivership Co., brings a storybook experience to the St. Johns River. Guests enjoy unlimited tea along with savory finger sandwiches, scones with jelly, and petite sweets in an elegant, fairy tale setting. Attire can be casual or inspired by the beloved characters, from Belle’s refinement to the Beast’s bold style, and the outing welcomes participants of all ages. Weekday pricing is $45 per adult and $20 per child ages 4 to 14. Weekend pricing is $65 per adult and $30 per child. Infants travel free with a boarding pass. A full bar is available for purchase.
