Volunteer for a morning of trail care at D Ranch Preserve, where a community crew works to keep pathways safe, accessible, and scenic. All experience levels are welcome. Tools are supplied. Bring sturdy gloves, plenty of water, and an appreciation for Florida’s natural landscapes. Participation in bicycling carries inherent risks, and riders accept full responsibility for their safety. The Float: The Quiet Between

Set beneath a waning crescent moon, this floating sound bath and release ritual offers an evening of rest, renewal, and gentle letting go at a private residence in Deltona, Florida. The experience begins with a quiet pre-float ceremony in which participants choose a stone, reflect on a burden or story they are ready to release, and offer that intention to the water before settling into the pool. While floating, a calming guided meditation eases the transition into the quiet space between what has been and what is becoming, then flows into a sound bath featuring crystal singing bowls played by Ashley Bowman and Lisa Valerio. Throughout, Ashley and Lisa provide Reiki-infused energy work to support deep relaxation, reflection, and renewal. Expect about 45 to 50 minutes in the water along with light snacks and refreshments. The Seminole County Historical Society will hold its third quarterly meeting at the IFAS Auditorium. Local author Frances Bistline Stephan will give a talk drawn from her new book, Forty Acres and a Grove: Growing Up in Central Florida Before Disney, reflecting on a childhood in Longwood, a community her family helped establish in 1881. She describes life on forty acres of pine and oak with a lake and citrus trees, where adventure was everyday life and nature ultimately prevailed. Her recollections revisit rural Central Florida in the 1950s and 1960s, with encounters involving alligators, snakes, panthers, and armadillos, as well as memories of floods, droughts, and hard freezes that shaped the landscape. Enjoy a friendly social ride in Sanford with Bicikleta, often tracing the Lake Monroe Loop for about 28 miles, with occasional route variations to discover more of the community. Distances generally range from 28 to 34 miles. Two pace groups are available based on average speed, one around 15 to 17 mph and another around 17 to 19 mph. Helmets are required. Plush with Major Moment

West End Trading Co. hosts a high-energy rock showcase headlined by PLUSH with special guest Major Moment, joined by local acts New Dilemma, Sonic Conversation, Failure Protocol, Mulch, and Aawen. Expect powerful vocals, heavy riffs, and a set that hits hard from start to finish. PLUSH is an all-female trio featuring vocalist and guitarist Moriah Formica, bassist Ashley Suppa, and drummer Faith Powell. Each program features a high profile speaker who shares her story, offering insight into both challenges and milestones. At this edition, Tanya Hill Easterling, market president for Florida Blue in the Central Florida Region, will be the featured speaker. Please note that the community leader’s remarks may touch on violent or traumatic experiences. Participants are encouraged to consider their personal comfort with these topics and to care for their wellbeing. This series is presented in March, May, and September.

VEMA PTSD Car & Bike Show Food Festival

VEMA and the City of Deltona are partnering to present a car and bike show paired with a food festival that brings drivers, riders, veterans, law enforcement, first responders, families, friends, and neighbors together for good food, impressive machines, and community support. Registration to compete is open to cars, trucks, jeeps, and motorcycles. Awards for cars, trucks, and jeeps include Best Classic, Best Classic Import, Best Truck, Best American Mussel Car, Best Jeep, and an overall Best of Show for car, truck, or jeep. Motorcycles compete for Best Sport Bike, Best Iron Bike, Best Custom Bike, and Best of Show Bike. Title belts in a UFC style will also recognize the Best Car Club Representation and Best Bike Club Representation. A Vicla Class competition is presented in partnership with NVS Kustoms; to enter the Vicla Class, contact NVS Kustoms at 386-218-5173. Registration supports VEMA’s mission to fight PTSD among veterans and first responders in collaboration with UFC Restore, which provides evidence-based trauma treatment and mental health care for those who protect and serve. Hosted by St. Johns Rivership Co., this Witch’s Brew High Tea cruise welcomes guests aboard the Barbara-Lee for a two-hour scenic journey on the St. Johns River featuring unlimited tea, savory finger sandwiches, scones with jelly, and petite sweets. Festive witchy outfits are encouraged, and casual attire is perfectly fine. The riverboat will be decorated to match the theme, creating a playful, magical ambiance. A Ghostly Deathday Tea Adventure Aboard the Barbara Lee

Guests step aboard the Barbara Lee paddlewheeler for a ghostly tea adventure inspired by Sir Nicholas’s famed Deathday festivities. The vessel is transformed with Halloween touches for an all-ages experience that pairs a fixed menu with unlimited tea, playful treats, and plenty of seasonal atmosphere. Reserved seating in a comfortable, temperature controlled dining room makes it easy to relax, and the outer decks offer wide open views of Lake Monroe and the St. Johns River in the heart of Central Florida. Costumes and themed attire are welcome but never required. The menu features an orzo veggie salad, whiskey bacon jam served with baguettes, deviled eggs, shepherd’s pie with a plant based option available if arranged in advance, mini assorted quiches, potato cakes, chocolate confections, Ferrero Rocher style golden balls with wings, a mandrake themed dirt cake, and cupcakes topped with headstones. Midflorida Cars and Grub is an automotive meet at Guardian Wraps featuring cars, food trucks, and tent vendors.
