Westin Lake Mary, Orlando NorthFrank Bang & Secret Stash | Live Blues at The Alley & Fuel BBQ
Frank Bang brings raw, unfiltered blues shaped by Chicago grit and years of relentless playing. He cut his teeth at Buddy Guy’s Legends, rose through the ranks, and then spent five years on the road as Buddy Guy’s guitarist, touring the world and sharing stages with artists such as Robert Plant, The Rolling Stones, and Eric Clapton. His own catalog includes four albums released under Frank Bang and the Secret Stash and Frank Bang and the Cook County Kings, with 14 tracks spinning regularly on B.B. King’s Bluesville on Sirius/XM. In performance he moves from gritty, riff-fueled stomp that nods to classic rock to deeply rooted Chicago blues, always tuned to the room and focused on feeling above all else. One moment can be ferocious, the next tender, and it might have you dancing or wiping away a tear. However you define it, this is the roots and the fruits, rock and roll and the blues, played to make you feel.
The Alley3rd Quarterly Meeting of 2026
The Seminole County Historical Society will hold its third quarterly meeting at the IFAS Auditorium. Local author Frances Bistline Stephan will give a talk drawn from her new book, Forty Acres and a Grove: Growing Up in Central Florida Before Disney, reflecting on a childhood in Longwood, a community her family helped establish in 1881. She describes life on forty acres of pine and oak with a lake and citrus trees, where adventure was everyday life and nature ultimately prevailed. Her recollections revisit rural Central Florida in the 1950s and 1960s, with encounters involving alligators, snakes, panthers, and armadillos, as well as memories of floods, droughts, and hard freezes that shaped the landscape. Light refreshments will be available. Admission is free and the public is welcome. For details, call 407-665-2489.
