    Children's Munay Ki

Melbourne · The Chacana Spiritual Center, 101 Brevard Dr W

    Free

A playful Munay Ki and Mesa gathering invites children into a cozy circle where love is expressed through action and exploration. Rooted in Peruvian shamanic wisdom, this experience is designed to help young participants discover who they are, feel safe being themselves, and connect with their own spirituality. The series unfolds across nine meetings, with one gentle rite offered in each class. Attending all sessions provides the complete set of blessings that encourage loving protection, awaken inner wisdom, and nurture a felt sense of connection to the sacred. Along the way, children can form friendships, enjoy creative projects, build confidence, learn simple tools for understanding and working with big emotions, and practice choosing love more often than fear. This gathering is free and supported by love donations. Guidance is provided by Lindsay Hawkins, a Q’ero shaman who carries a full Mesa and trained with Shannon Davis, as well as a certified coach in nervous system regulation and mindset. With deep respect for Andean teachings and a background as a pediatric anesthetist for 22 years, together with CPR certification, she blends clinical insight with spiritual practice to support individuals and families. As a mother of 5-year-old twins, she offers an age-appropriate approach that helps children develop energetic boundaries, connect with the Earth and their own spirit, regulate emotions, and grow in confidence. Her classes and sessions emphasize safety, compassion, and whole-person well-being. Refunds are available for cancellations made at least 24 hours before the class.

    Full Moon Ceremony

Melbourne · The Chacana Spiritual Center, 101 Brevard Dr W

    Free

A welcoming full moon ceremony invites the community to gather across generations. October’s Hunter’s Moon appears in Taurus, highlighting themes of abundance, connection to the senses and body, and practical security. The evening starts with complimentary shamanic clearings, then continues with fire spinning, community drumming and singing, and optional tarot readings available for purchase. Participants will create and use a small pencil-sized stick in the ceremony, and bringing one already decorated is also welcome. The circle centers on setting intentions to release up to three things that are ready to be let go. Arriving on time allows space to receive a clearing and prepare the ceremony stick. For comfort, consider bringing a chair, blanket, or outdoor pillow, a rattle or drum if you have one, a personal drink, and any other helpful items for being outdoors. This is a free gathering supported by love donations, with gratitude for contributions such as sage, olive oil, or firewood. Children are welcome and the atmosphere is relaxed and inclusive.
