    A storied southeast RC racing event from the late 1990s and early 2000s returns as the Watermelon Classic, hosted by Augusta RC Supercross and revived with the support of Toy Car Time.com and Augusta RC raceway with the blessing of the original owners. This gathering unfolds over three days, beginning with practice, followed by a day of qualifying, and concluding with main events. The lineup of classes covers a broad range, including Novice, 1/10 2WD mod buggy, 1/10 4WD mod buggy, 1/10 2WD stadium truck, vintage 2WD buggy, 1/10 gas truck, 4WD SCT, 1/8 sport nitro buggy, 1/8 pro nitro buggy, 1/8 sportsman e-buggy, 1/8 pro e-buggy, 1/8 e-truggy, +40 e-buggy, +40 nitro buggy, and open nitro truggy. Qualifying uses a points system across three rounds, nitro buggy features ladder mains, and electric classes run double A-mains. Entry fees are listed as 1st $60, 2nd $40, and 3rd $20, and trophies will be awarded to the top five in every class.
