    Farmers Market

Atlanta · Atlantic Station, 1380 Atlantic Dr NW

    Free

A producer focused farmers market at Atlantic Station operates alongside the long running Creator’s Market, now in its tenth year. It connects farmers, growers, and food makers with residents who want direct access to the people behind their food. The recent closure of the Publix at Atlantic Station has left thousands of people within the 138 acre neighborhood without convenient, walkable options for fresh produce, meats, eggs, bread, and everyday staples. Add nearby Midtown and Westside communities and steady weekend foot traffic that brings roughly nine million visitors each year, and the result is strong demand from potential repeat customers. Offerings emphasize fruits and vegetables, meat, poultry and eggs, dairy and cheeses, breads and baked goods, honey, preserves and sauces, along with flowers, fresh drinks, teas, specialty foods, and more. Additional product categories may be accommodated within the farmers market or the broader Creator’s Market that happens each weekend. The vendor rate is $39, and vendors may be able to participate for the full hours of the Creator’s Market, with further details available online.

Admission is free, and all are welcome. Copies of Girl to Country will be available for purchase. It follows her efforts to keep touring while taking temp jobs, raising a child, and keeping a car on the road, all while learning to rely on inner confidence over outside approval. Themes include sustaining a creative life into one’s forties and later, balancing parenthood with ambition, and the ways love can unsettle or support that balance. Rigby is a veteran presence in American underground and indie music, combining the sharp storytelling of country and folk with classic rock songcraft and a punk DIY spark. She came up in New York with the bands Last Roundup and the Shams before launching a solo career with Diary of a Mod Housewife, followed by albums including Hang In There With Me. Her first memoir, Girl to City, was published in 2019.

Protect Your Light Workshop: Spiritual Hygiene for Healers

Atlanta · Healing Hands Reiki & Spiritual Development, 27 Waddell St NE

Protect Your Light is an immersive spiritual hygiene workshop created for healers, empaths, and energy workers who want to fortify their own energy through cleansing, protection, and self-sovereignty practices rooted in ancestral and holistic traditions. With guided, hands-on work in time-honored rituals and modern techniques, the experience supports clarity, balance, and alignment so you can show up grounded in every healing space. Participants explore how to build a living relationship with their ancestors through offerings, prayer, and altar tending that anchor and protect their path. Care for the Ori, the inner divine consciousness associated with the crown, is emphasized through daily practices such as head coverings, affirmations, guided meditation, and cleansing to keep the mind clear and purpose aligned. The art of spiritual bathing is taught using herbs, oils, salts, and focused intention, and everyone creates a personalized blend while learning the meaning behind each ingredient. Candle work is covered from color selection to anointing, adding herbs, and setting intentions for healing, protection, and manifestation, creating a focused channel for spiritual guidance. Grounding and energy alignment practices help reinforce sovereignty over mind, body, and spirit while shielding from external influences. Participants also craft and speak personal spiritual decrees and affirmations that call upon ancestors, guides, and divine forces for protection and the strengthening of the energetic field. Attendees leave with practical skills for cleansing and protection, a deeper connection with ancestors and guides, a custom bath and candle recipe, daily tools to honor the Ori, and confidence in spiritual authority and alignment. This workshop serves Reiki practitioners, energy healers, yoga teachers, spiritual coaches, and anyone seeking reliable methods to maintain energetic purity and protection. Protect your light, honor your Ori, and stand in your power. Your energy is sacred, keep it clear, sovereign, and strong. The workshop is facilitated by Tiffany N. Monroe, B.S., M.A., Ed.S, Founder and CEO of Healing Hands Reiki & Spiritual Development, Inc., a Usui/Holy Fire III and Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki Master Teacher, Sekhmet and Seichim Master Teacher, member of the Reiki Healing Association, the Reiki Members Association, and the International Association of Reiki Professionals, an Ashtanga Yoga student and assistant at Ashtanga Yoga Atlanta, RYT500, meditation facilitator, biochemist and product developer, educator at secondary and university levels, and an ordained minister. Healing Hands Reiki, Inc. is recognized as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and donations are tax deductible. The organization’s mission is to empower people to participate in their own healing and to nurture a caring, supportive wellness community, with a vision of helping individuals live in balance by engaging their innate capacity to heal. Offerings include private Reiki sessions, practitioner trainings and attunements, Reiki shares, teacher training, educational workshops for healthcare professionals and caregiving communities, restorative and vinyasa yoga, sound and vibrational healing, chakra balancing, meditation and conscious living classes, spiritual support including wedding services and house blessings, and spiritual products and tools. Policies and notes: arriving more than 15 minutes late requires attending a future class. The shala is a shoe-free space, with footwear placed in the designated area. Attendance grants permission for photo and video that may be used in organizational publications. Participation is voluntary and self-directed, and Reiki complements but does not replace medical or psychological care. Comfortable clothing is required. You may pause or end a session at any time.
