At Atlanta Symphony Hall LIVE, Guster teams up with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra for a symphonic collaboration that changes from night to night. Each performance features a distinct setlist, drawing on different corners of the band’s catalog. The group’s most recent album, Ooh La La, arrived in 2024, marking another chapter in a career that spans more than three decades. Along the way they have placed songs on the Billboard charts, worked with producers Steve Lillywhite and Richard Swift, launched their own music festival, and built a devoted following through constant touring and a community-centered live show. Formed in Somerville, Massachusetts, they are known for songs such as "Amsterdam," "Satellite," and "Do You Love Me." Beyond the band, singer Ryan Miller composes for film and television, guitarist and singer Adam Gardner leads REVERB, a nonprofit focused on environmentally responsible touring, and multi-instrumentalist Luke Reynolds writes and collaborates with artists including Regina Spektor, Sharon Van Etten, and Neko Case.

Marking 30 years of the CAC Chili Cook Off, this expanded Chili Cook Off and Fall Festival takes place across Douglas County High School and the Cultural Arts Center. The tradition began in 1996 on the Cultural Arts Center’s front porch and later moved to O’Neal Plaza. Now, alongside all the chili excitement at Douglas County High School, the CAC grounds host a costume contest, sweet treat vendors, yard games, and an art exhibit. In past years, the event has drawn thousands for food, fun, and entertainment, with local Douglasville figures such as politicians, candidates, businesses, and non-profits competing to crown the best chili in Douglasville and Douglas County. Booth and ticket purchases support the work of the Cultural Arts Council.

Atlanta Ballet 2 brings the beloved tale of Cinderella to life through graceful movement, vivid characters, elegant costumes, and grand stagecraft. Choreographed by Bruce Wells, this family-focused production includes narration that helps young audiences follow the story. It is recommended for ages 4 and older. Part of Atlanta Ballet’s Family Ballets, the experience is concise and child friendly, told through dance and set to classical music. The performance runs 1 hour and 15 minutes and includes a 20 minute intermission.

Atlanta Symphony Hall LIVE presents a special Rocky Horror Picture Show experience with Barry Bostwick and Nell Campbell, who played Brad Majors and Columbia in the original film. Enjoy the complete, unedited movie on the big screen while a live shadow cast performs in front of it. LDOD, Atlanta’s longest running Rocky Horror cast, will bring the onstage action to life. The evening features interactive elements including a costume contest, chances to meet actors from the film, and plenty of opportunities to dance the Time Warp. Each ticket includes a bag of props for audience participation, and for safety, outside props are not permitted. A limited number of VIP tickets includes a meet and greet with Bostwick and Campbell. The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra presents a live-to-film performance of Disney’s Hocus Pocus, with John Debney’s score performed in real time as the movie plays, led by conductor Stuart Chafetz. Debney, an Emmy Award winner and Grammy nominee, wrote the original music for this Halloween comedy. On screen, the Sanderson sisters, seventeenth century witches accidentally revived on Halloween in present day Salem, plot to secure immortality by draining the youth of local children. Three clever kids, with help from Thackery Binx, a boy long ago cursed to live as a cat, work to thwart their plans. Directed by Kenny Ortega, the film features Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kathy Najimy, Omri Katz, Thora Birch, and Vinessa Shaw. Presentation licensed by Disney Concerts.

Infinicon returns for Halloween with a single-day celebration of fandom and food. The Mill Amphitheater hosts local vendors and artists sharing their creations. Attendees can look forward to games, anime, and other fan-focused activities. The event welcomes all ages.

CONjuration is a three day, fan organized celebration of fantasy and fandom where lovers of Harry Potter, The Lord of the Rings, D&D, mythology, and whimsical worlds gather for a weekend of hands on fun. A 40th anniversary screening of Little Shop of Horrors comes to Atlanta Symphony Hall LIVE, hosted by Ellen Greene, who first brought Audrey to life on stage and later starred in the film adaptation. Greene makes an uncommon appearance to mark the occasion. The 1986 cult classic sci fi musical comedy directed by Frank Oz centers on Seymour Krelborn, a nerdy florist who raises Audrey II, a carnivorous plant with a taste for blood. As the Skid Row flower shop gains fame thanks to the plant, its demands escalate to human sacrifices, leaving Seymour torn between his feelings for coworker Audrey and the danger posed by Audrey II. An exclusive meet and greet package will be offered, featuring a signed memorabilia item and photo opportunities. The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra is not performing at this event.

With images all around us, learning to make them with purpose is a valuable skill. This three-class photography series for ages 11 to 18 helps students move beyond snapshots to explore how pictures convey meaning, emotion, and story. Participants discover that their perspective matters and learn how to share it thoughtfully through the lens. By the end, they gain more than a collection of photos... they develop a clearer way of seeing the world. Tuition is $75. No experience is needed. The program meets students where they are and supports growth at every level. Students are expected to attend all sessions and will complete brief daily check-ins. Light snacks and all supplies are provided. Please bring a packed lunch each day, along with a smartphone or camera for taking photos. A charger is recommended. Bring two or three small personal objects for storytelling activities, plus plenty of curiosity and a willingness to explore.
