Bring your current needlework project and spend time with fellow enthusiasts at Needlework Fridays. Crochet, knitting, cross stitch, needlepoint, quilting, and similar crafts are all welcome. This is a relaxed, participant-led club with no instructor. Adults 18 and older are invited, beginners included. It is free and open to the public.

The fifth annual fall market at Cumming City Center brings a full day of seasonal shopping, live music, tasty food, and hands-on fun for all ages. Admission and parking are free, and friendly, leashed dogs are welcome. Browse more than 125 local vendors offering artisan goods, handcrafted pieces, fall decor, gifts, clothing, and more, with booths set up throughout the center. Music at the Fountain features Brother Jason and The Red Dirt Saints followed by Nathan Sheppard, creating a lively soundtrack while you explore. The Lou Sobh Amphitheater focuses on family activities. Kids can visit a free petting zoo, try aerial demonstrations and mini taster classes with Core Dance & Acrobatics Studio, make free projects at the Home Depot Kids Workshop, and enjoy free pumpkin painting for the first 400 customers at the Rocky Brook Construction station. Family First Villages hosts complimentary creative stations with terracotta pots, pine cone crafts, pencil cases, 3D fall art, rock art, and more. The To The Dance Floor and Beyond dance party invites families to dress as a favorite toy, cowboy, space explorer, alien, or any imaginative character. A toy inspired costume contest will recognize categories such as Best Toy Inspired Costume, Best Cowboy or Cowgirl, Most Out of This World, Best Alien, Most Creative, and Best Family Costume, with winners announced at the end of the party. The Lambert High School Dance Team is featured. A community food drive presented by The Place and Rocky Brook Construction welcomes donations of non perishable items at the Rocky Brook Construction tent at the amphitheater. Most needed items include canned meat, condiments, flour, meal helpers, pancake mix, protein drinks, shelf stable milk, side dishes, taco kits, and similar staples. Food and drink vendors serve savory meals, sweet treats, and refreshments throughout the market. For everyone’s safety and comfort, please note that coolers, outside food, outside alcoholic beverages, cans, glass bottles, and smoking are not permitted. NAMI Family Support Group offers a peer-led space for adults who support a loved one experiencing symptoms of a mental health condition. Participants share challenges and successes, gaining insight from others with similar experiences in a structured setting that ensures everyone is heard. It is free to attend, designed for adult family members and other loved ones, and facilitated by relatives of people with mental health conditions. Each meeting lasts an hour and a half and takes place on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month. The group does not endorse any specific medical treatment or therapy.
