Diventures Alpharetta is organizing a lake cleanup dive at Lake Lanier in Buford Dam Park, blending environmental care with a fun day underwater. Divers team up with Diventures group leaders Harrison Barnfield-Jones, Marc Schnoll, and Matt Olsen to collect debris while enjoying a relaxed fun-dive atmosphere. The participation fee is $20, or free for Diventures Scuba Club members. The fee covers park admission, a cookout after the dive, guidance from a Diventures group leader, one air tank, and access to weights and a weight belt on a first come, first served basis. Beverages, scuba equipment rentals, nitrox rentals or fills, continuing education classes, and transportation are not included. Instruction is available to complete Night & Limited Visibility or Search & Recovery during the cleanup, with registration required to take part in these classes. An RSVP on Facebook does not secure a place. Registration through the organizer’s website and completion of the club event form sent after registering are required. Weights and rental gear are limited and issued on a first come, first served basis. Any rental equipment must be picked up one day before the event and returned no later than one day after, and participants are responsible for transporting and keeping track of their gear throughout.

The Makers Market Local Artist Fair returns to Avalon with a curated gathering of 30-plus local artists, crafters, designers, and makers for a lively shopping experience. A special screening of Batt Koch: The Lost Lane is set for NCG Cinema Peachtree Corners. Recognized as the first Kashmiri-language feature to secure a nationwide theatrical rollout in India, it was an official selection of the New York Indian Film Festival and earned nominations for Best Debut Film and Best Actor for MK Raina. The film stars MK Raina, Anil Koul Chingari, Kusum Tickoo, Kusum Dhar, Sakshi Bhat, and Ravin Bhat. It is directed by Siddarth Koul and Ankit Wali, produced by Vinayak Razdan, and is a VR SearchKashmir Films LLP production. The screening is organized by the Kashmiri Overseas Association.

This relaxed community bike ride starts at Georgetown Shopping Center, follows the Dunwoody Trailway to Brook Run Park, then returns to the starting point. The route is about 4 miles, mostly flat, and kept at a gentle slow-roll pace so riders can stay together and enjoy the ride. It welcomes cyclists of all experience levels, including families, recreational riders, and those who are new to biking. Before heading out, the group meets in the parking lot for a brief orientation and safety talk, then rides to Brook Run Park and comes back for casual socializing at one of the establishments in the center. Bring a helmet for every rider and plenty of water. Consider a bike lock and dress for the weather. Arrive with a bicycle in safe working order with properly inflated tires. Riders should be able to start and stop confidently and ride without training wheels. Children age 10 and under must be accompanied by an adult. This ride is part of a monthly series designed to bring neighbors together for a friendly, welcoming roll around Dunwoody.

Fathom Entertainment presents Studio Ghibli Fest 2026 at Aurora Cineplex, showcasing beloved films on a giant screen with plush heated recliner seating. Lucky’s Live Sunday features Mike Karp on Lucky’s Backyard and Stage, set within what is described as Roswell’s largest outdoor venue that welcomes both dogs and kids. Guests can bring a picnic blanket or lawn chair to settle in for live music, tasty burgers, and plenty of cold beer. The event depends on the weather and details may change. Outside food or drinks are not allowed. Additional parking is available at Woodstock Soccer Fields.

It is well suited for first-time paddlers and for those hoping to reconnect with a favorite waterway. Participants will watch for wildlife and explore wetlands that are distinctive within metro Atlanta. All equipment is provided. Open to ages 8 and older. Cost is $39 for the general public and $34 for CNC members, per person. Advance registration is required by the Thursday before each trip.
