Huntin’ Birdies for Huntington’s brings the community together at White Oak Golf Club for a purpose-driven day on the course. Presented by Strack, Inc., the event supports the Huntington’s Disease Society of America, channeling proceeds to programs, resources, and research that assist families affected by Huntington’s disease. Players, sponsors, and supporters each play a part, helping advance care and move toward a future without HD.

Free diabetes education is offered through a monthly support group created by Piedmont Newnan and the University of Georgia Extension in Coweta County. The session welcomes anyone living with Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes, as well as those who are prediabetic and looking to improve their condition. Olivia Handley, Family and Consumer Sciences Agent, leads the class in partnership with Piedmont Newnan Hospital and the University of Georgia Coweta County Cooperative Extension. Participants also receive clinical support from Piedmont Newnan endocrinologists. Topics include practical nutrition guidance such as meal planning and portion control using the Diabetic Meal Plate, enjoyable ways to stay active, and a welcoming group environment. Teams put their knowledge to the test at Your Pie LaGrange as Brian Green of Greenie's Pit hosts an evening of trivia. Prizes go to the top three teams.
