Nā Lei Aʻala o Nā Liko Lehua, Nā Mele o Oʻahu is a benefit concert and fundraiser in support of Nā Pua ʻĀhihi Lehua’s fifth annual celebration, presented with Kumu ʻAuliʻi Heine Hirahara. The program honors Kumu ʻAuliʻi, her Kumu, and her mother, Kumu Leināʻala Kalama Heine, and recognizes the knowledge and accomplishments of sixteen Kumu who completed their training with Kumu Leināʻala through Nā Pualei o Liko Lehua. Participating Hālau will share hula, oli, and mele from Oʻahu. Featured musicians include Kainani Kahaunaele, Jonah Kahanuola Solotario, and Taisamasama Kaiminaauao-Eteuati, with Ānuenue Pūnua appearing as a guest musician. Pre-show entertainment is by Alewa, featuring Kainalu Jacang, Kamalu Tupou, Hayden Kaʻaialiʻi, and Kamahaʻo Haumea-Thronas. At Blue Note Hawaii, Fleetwood Mask delivers a meticulously crafted tribute to Fleetwood Mac, uniquely endorsed by founding member Mick Fleetwood, who has publicly praised the group for honoring the band’s legacy with care and precision. Formed over a decade ago and touring the United States every year since, the ensemble recreates the look, sound, and feel of the originals through character-true performances, detailed staging, and faithful sound. Authenticity is at the core of the production. Musicians perform with period-correct instruments, gear, and wardrobe, and at many performances the band incorporates original touring equipment and instruments once used onstage by Fleetwood Mac. The group’s penguin emblem was created by Larry Vigon, the designer behind landmark Fleetwood Mac album artwork and solo projects by Christine McVie, Mick Fleetwood, and Lindsey Buckingham. The concert spans signature hits, beloved favorites, and deep cuts. The production may also spotlight distinct eras of the band’s history, with dedicated nods to the 1980 Tusk tour, the 1982 Mirage tour, and the 1997 The Dance reunion.
