A multi-time Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award recipient, with honors in 1997, 2008 and 2022, and a contributor to the GRAMMY-winning Slack Key Guitar, Vol. 2, Cruz is known for storytelling that celebrates everyday life and the connections that unite communities. His catalog draws more than a million streams annually, and this setting showcases the heart of his work, emphasizing themes of love, compassion and common ground. He likens performing here to playing in his own living room, with a personal connection to each listener, and The New York Times has described his shows as a musical journey with an element of surprise. A community-led drum and dance circle takes place at the Cove on the right side of Baldwin Beach Park in Paia, Maui. People who drum or dance, percussionists, musicians, and those who simply want to listen are welcome, including Maui residents and considerate visitors. Bring a djembe, drum, shaker, or other acoustic percussion instrument if you have one, or enjoy listening and moving to the beat. Come prepared with drinking water, sun and wind protection, a blanket or beach chair, a light for packing up, and a bag for your belongings. The gathering depends on the weather, and the exact spot may shift slightly within the Cove based on beach conditions, so check the Page or public Group for the latest details before heading over. Morgan Jay brings a live blend of stand up and music to the Castle Theater. The Los Angeles based performer has been featured on MTV’s Wild 'n Out, NBC, and Comedy Central, and was recognized as a 2023 Just For Laughs New Face. A first generation American with Brazilian and Italian roots, he weaves influences from his background and 90s upbringing into his act. He began in New York while studying at the Tisch School of the Arts, shaping his voice in the backrooms and bars of the city’s alternative comedy scene.

A jazz brunch features the Makai Jazz Group with complimentary live music. Guests can enjoy pastries, pancakes, quiches, omelets, loco mocos, burgers, and sandwiches while Bruce Boege on saxophone, Jeff Hellmeron on keys, and Dave Graber on bass perform. The brunch menu is available during service.
