This weekend in Cedar Falls, IA

The Waverly Chamber Music Series presents a concert by the Pro Arte String Quartet in the Narthex of St. Paul's Lutheran Church & School. Founded in Brussels in 1912, the quartet is among the most historic ensembles in chamber music. It served as the Court Quartet to Queen Elizabeth of Belgium, made its American debut in 1926, and later established a long-term residency at the University of Wisconsin. Composers such as Bartók, Milhaud, and Honegger entrusted the group with premieres, and the ensemble continues to champion a tradition of adventurous, world-class performance. Admission is free, with optional donations to support the series welcome.
