Shattered Crystal’s weekly gathering at St. John United Church of Christ features a special focus on scribal activities open to everyone, whether you want to participate, practice, or observe. This performance at Saint Louis Art Museum presents Shakespeare’s The Two Gentlemen of Verona, where close friends Valentine and Proteus pledge devotion to their bond, then both fall for the same woman, sending loyalty and clear thinking into disarray. The story is packed with disguises, comic mix-ups, and a dog that steals the spotlight, all while reflecting on friendship, forgiveness, and the awkward leap into adulthood.
